ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony was evaluated by three court-appointed psychologists and psychiatrists to determine her competency to proceed in her first-degree murder trial.

Saturday's proceedings were abruptly halted around 9:45 a.m., and Judge Belvin Perry announced Monday morning this was because Anthony's attorneys filed a motion requesting Anthony be examined to determine her competency to proceed.

The motion was prompted by Anthony giving her defense team a "confidential communication," the motion said. The content of the message is not known.

Anthony was examined on Saturday and Sunday. Based on those psychologist's reports.

"Based upon the reports that the court has reviewed, the court will find that the defendant is competent to proceed," Perry said at the start of Monday's hearing, the 29th day of testimony.

Perry said the record of the evaluations will be sealed.
