Re: NEVAEH HECHT - 1 yo - Eugene OR
Police have located a man in Pocatello who may have
illegally left Oregon Saturday with his one-year-old daughter.
Both Lance Patrick Hecht-Baker, 17, and his daughter, Nevaeh
Elizabeth Hecht, were located in Pocatello. Hecht-Baker voluntarily
gave up his daughter to Pocatello police, who then turned her over
to the Department of Health and Welfare to be placed in foster care
until she is returned to Oregon.
Hecht-Baker was not arrested and will be allowed to return to
Oregon. Neveah is currently under Oregon state custody and it is
against Oregon law for Hecht-Baker to leave the state with her.
