Casey Anthony Update: George Breaks Down on Witness Stand

Today we started out with an interesting testimony from George and Cindy Anthony once again. Cindy took the stand. Baez went right after her asking her about Lee allegedly groping Casey in her bedroom. Cindy answered that she doesn’t recall anything about that incident. The state objected and a sidebar was called which ended with the objection being sustained.

Once Cindy left the stand, George was called as the next witness. Questions were thrown to George from left to right, some dealing with his experience with the smell human decomposition when he was with law enforcement which was in reference to a statement he made to the police on July 24, 2008. George told Baez that he was taking his words from the statement out of context when comparing it to Caylee.

Baez questioned George about his daughter’s car smelling like human decomposition and of his experience of the smell in the woods, a house and even in another car. Then Baez twisted the subject to Casey. Baez asked about a statement George made that his daughter has a tendency to live on the edge. George admitted that he did make that statement.
