Casey Anthony Update: Outburst In Courtroom Not Taken Lightly

The past two weeks we have been glued to our computers watching the jury selection phase for the upcoming trial for Casey Anthony. Casey has been charged with first degree murder of her two year old daughter, Caylee Marie Anthony, which occurred in June 2008. The state is asking for the death sentence in the case that the jury finds Casey guilty. Casey has pleaded innocent and her case has cost the Florida taxpayers thousands of dollars to send her to trial.
Audiences and reporters from all around the world have been sitting on pins and needles waiting for a jury to be selected and sworn in. People are tired of this trial being delayed anymore than it already has been. Judge Belvin Perry had said on Thursday that he planned to swear in a jury by Friday afternoon at 3 p.m.
Everything seemed to be going better than usual (compared to the two weeks prior) with the selection process and everyone was feeling pretty confident that this was going to finally be the day that a completed jury would be sworn in.
As a prospective juror was being questioned in the courtroom, suddenly there was an outburst coming from a spectator in the courtroom which caused a major interruption. A woman stood up in the courtroom and screamed out, “She killed somebody, anyway.”
Deputies were quick to grab the woman and escort her out of the courtroom and Judge Perry asked the prospective juror to please step out of the courtroom, so they could tend to the situation.
