On July 25, 2011, famed civil rights attorney and female rights activist Gloria Allred appeared on HLN to discuss the recent developments in the Casey Anthony case and discussed the many rumors surrounding an alleged bidding war for an interview with the woman now acquitted of murder, manslaughter and child abuse charges. Allegations that networks are ready to pay Miss Anthony for an interview has caused each of the big league networks (ABC, NBC and CBS) to come forward stating they aren’t paying Casey for an exclusive one-on-one and has resulted in a plethora of attorneys and legal experts weighing in on the matter. As many across the nation have pledged to boycott such an interview, Gloria Allred argued that people would watch and called the event a “ratings bonanza.”
