4:09 p.m. MDT, August 17, 2011
AURORA, Colo. -- The Colorado
Bureau of Investigation issued an Amber Alert Wednesday for a
15-year-old Aurora girl who authorities say was abducted by a 37-year-old man.
Investigators say Jasmine Colleen-Ila Fike,
who is 5’5”, 130 lbs., got into an SUV with the suspect, Franky Lamont
Session, at about 8:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of Olathe Street.
They say Fike has a “previous relationship” with Session.
Later in the afternoon, authorities announced that Aurora Police had located Session, along with his vehicle.
Fike, however, remained missing.
“Session is cooperating with investigators,” said Aurora Police Det.
Bob Friel. “He has denies direct involvement in the disappearance.”
Authorities say the teen may be wearing a school uniform with dark blue
sweat pants and a dark blue t-shirt with the word "Cottage" on it.
Crimes Against Children Unit detectives continue to search for Fike, Friel said.

A 15-year-old reported kidnapped this
morning hasn't turned up by this evening, even though her suspected
abductor, a 37-year-old felon, has told police he had nothing to do with it.
Jasmine Colleen-Ila Fike is considered a "missing, endangered person," said Detective Bob Friel.
He said he could not release information regarding why police think she is endangered, rather than being a normal runaway.
Police issued an Amber Alert for Jasmine this afternoon and then
cancelled it after they successfully contacted Franky Lamont Session,
who insisted he had nothing to do with her disappearance.
"That's still under investigation," Friel said. "Honestly, we're not going to just accept the word of this guy."
Records show Session has a lengthy
criminal record, including charges related to drugs, burglary and
habitual traffic offenses. In 2003, he was sentenced to five years in
state prison after agreeing to plead guilty to conspiracy to possess a
controlled substance in Adams County. In 2004, he was sentenced to two
years in prison and given credit for 104 days of time served after
pleading guilty in a Denver drug-possession case.
He was divorced in 2009, and court records indicate he has children.
Shortly before she disappeared this morning, Jasmine spoke to her
mother on the phone and said Session had been driving up and down the
1700 block of Olathe Street and banging on the door of the home at about 9 a.m.
When police arrived several minutes later, the door to the home was open and neither Fike nor Session was there.
Friel would not elaborate on the nature of the relationship between Jasmine and Session, citing the ongoing investigation.
Jasmine is white, 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds. She has shoulder-length brown hair and hazel eyes.
Anyone with information on Jasmine's whereabouts at 303-627-3100 or any law enforcement agency.

AURORA - Jasmine Fike, a 15-year-old who went missing on
Wednesday, is still considered to be in danger, according to the
Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
The CBI reactivated the Amber Alert on Fike Thursday morning.
Police received preliminary reports that a 37-year-old man named
Franky Sessions had left with Fike Wednesday morning in a green Chevy
Tahoe from her home. Once police located Sessions and his car,
they reportedly cancelled the Amber Alert. It turns out that Amber Alert was never cancelled.
However, Fike was not with Sessions when police found him.
"It's a possibility that she ran away," Aurora Police
Public Information Officer Bob Friel said. "The preliminary information
in this case indicated to us that she may have been abducted."
Aurora Police believed Fike left with Session - with whom she has had
a previous relationship. They said evidence at the scene caused them to
have serious concerns about the teenager's safety.
"Obviously she is still a missing and an endangered teen," Friel said. "Until we find her, we can't rule anything out."
Session cooperated with investigators, according to police. Police
say he has denied direct involvement in Jasmine 's disappearance.
Wednesday, shortly before 9 a.m., Crimes Against Children Unit
detectives and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation began an
investigation into a report of a missing/endangered teenage girl after
her mother reported her missing from an address in Aurora.
The Amber Alert was issued at 11:52 a.m. when investigators
determined the case met the criteria to issue the statewide bulletin to
the news media, highway signs and law enforcement agencies.
That criterion is that the child must be 17 or younger, must be in
immediate danger of serious bodily harm or death, and there must be
enough descriptive information to believe a broadcast to the public will
be able to assist in the child's recovery.
Once Aurora Police determined that information, they asked the
Colorado Bureau of Investigation to issue the Amber Alert and within
minutes it was being broadcast statewide. Highway signs asked drivers to
be on the lookout for Session and his SUV.
Once Session and his SUV were located, investigators say there was no
need to continue the Amber Alert because they no longer had information
that could help the public find the missing teenager.
Jasmine is described as white, 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 130
pounds with brown hair, and hazel eyes. Detectives believed she was with
Session. Her whereabouts are still unknown and police have not released
any other details about when she and Session separated.
Anyone with information is asked to call Public Safety Communications

AURORA, Colo. -- Aurora police, Denver police
and officers with the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force said
they worked throughout the night on leads to find a missing girl. However, Jasmine Fike, 15, remains missing. An
Amber Alert for Fike and 37-year-old Franky Session was issued on
Wednesday. The alert remains in effect even though Session was found,
because police said they remained concerned about the teen's welfare.
On Thursday, a witness saw Fike along a section of East Colfax Avenue
with a man who the witness reported was known to be involved in
prostitution-related activity, according to Aurora police Detective Bob
Friel.
Friel said investigators are working to identify the man who was seen with Jasmine. On
Wednesday, Friel said it's possible Fike ran away. She does have a
history of running away, but indications are that she may have been
taken, police said. There were signs of struggle in her home, Friel
said."Until we find her, we can't rule anything out," Friel said.Fike
is about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and about 130 pounds with
shoulder-length hair and hazel eyes. She may be wearing a school
uniform, which includes dark blue sweat pants and a dark blue T-shirt
with the words "Cottage" written on it, police said.
Mom: Jasmine Said 'Man Was Trying To Get Into The House'
Fike's mom, Nadine Hobart, told 7NEWS she got a phone call from her daughter, which started the police investigation."Jasmine called me at work and told me that a man was trying to get into the house," said Hobart.
Hobart called police at about 9 a.m., and when officers arrived at the
home on South Olathe Street near East Mexico Avenue, the door to the
home was wide open, and no one was inside, police said.Police and Fike's mom indicated it appeared there was a struggle inside."In
Jasmine's room, her nightstand is all knocked down; bedding is ripped
off the bed," said Hobart. "It looks like there was a struggle in her
room."
Fike Has Run Away Previously
Hobart admitted to 7NEWS that her daughter has run away before. She was adamant that was not the case this time."Jasmine
has left before, but there was never a struggle and there was a note
when she was having some problems," said Hobart. "This time, there's no
note. There was a struggle and she had said she was afraid. and she has
voiced her opinion that she was afraid for several weeks."Hobart said in the past, her daughter would call even on the same day she left to say she was OK."I just need her home safe," said Hobart.

A 15-year-old girl who went missing Aug. 17 was not kidnapped
but ran away as part of an elaborate hoax, police said Thursday
afternoon.
Jasmine Colleen-Ila Fike disappeared around 9 a.m. Aug. 17 after
calling 911 and telling dispatchers that someone was breaking into
her house on South Olathe Street.
On the 911 call, a recording of which investigators released
Thursday, a distraught-sounding Fike tells dispatchers a man who
police know is breaking into her house. Then she tells dispatchers
she has to go and abruptly hangs up.
When officers arrived at the home, they found signs of a
struggle but no sign of Fike.
Police issued an Amber Alert for Fike on Wednesday, saying she
may have been with her 37-year-old ex-boyfriend, Franky
Session.
On Thursday, police said Session was not involved in the girl’s
disappearance.
Officers cancelled the Amber Alert late Wednesday afternoon, but
have continued to search for Fike since.
The girl is described as a white female, 5 feet, 5 inches tall,
weighing 130 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. She may be
wearing a school uniform, of dark blue sweat pants with a dark blue
T-shirt that says “Cottage.”
In a statement calling the girl’s kidnapping a hoax, police said
she may be in the company of criminals.

---Allow me to continue your rant dear Aunty AB. It is rooted in Parental Control. Today's parents, not all but many, are trying too hard to be friends with their children, and not parents. The lines must not be vague. I constantly witness young girls and boys in all of our NewsRooms who have a demonstrated lack of parental control. Just check out some of the young teens, even pre-teens, with very little modesty in their dress and many have multiple piercings, tattoos and provocative pictures linked to their F'book accounts.Annabeth wrote:TomTerrific0420 wrote:Please pardon the pun~

Don't get me wrong (as my dear decased Mom would say) - I am no prude but 13 is a bit young to have a nose ring, clown hair and a tat on your left breast. Whoever said that dressing up, permanently I might add, as a pirate or convict or sex industry worker was going to be your statement of being the unique person that you are. Where is the ability of the parents to say no?
Whatever happened to wanting to be an individual? Wait, I get it... you want the tat and piercings and the tongue stud so you can be an individual. Just like all of your other friends. How individual is that?
Rant concluded.
Hang Tough my friends!

This girl should have to repay every penny that was spent on the search. And the same amount in fines.
Now someone could kidnap her and it would be considered another Fike Fake (Kudos to Sir Tom).

Aurora police said Thursday afternoon
that 15-year-old Jasmine Colleen-Ila Fike was never abducted but instead
staged a hoax to run away from home.
Her whereabouts are still unknown, and the search continues. Police
warned Thursday she might be "in the company of known criminals" who are
adults.
She was reportedly seen with a man Wednesday on East Colfax Avenue in
Aurora, and police think she might be staying along the Colfax
corridor.
"Our investigators have gotten close to her a number of times, but
she's managed to slip away," said Detective Bob Friel, a spokesman for
Aurora police. "Understand, she can call 911 at any time, and we'll be
there to pick her up in minutes."
Jasmine called her mother Wednesday morning and said 37-year-old
Franky Lamont Session, a felon who has served prison time in local drug
cases, was driving up and down their street and had been banging on the
door to the home.
She also called 911 and told a dispatcher, "Someone just broke into my house, and he's trying to take me."
When police arrived, Jasmine was gone. When they caught up with
Session, he said he wasn't involved, but police impounded his sport
utility vehicle as evidence.
New evidence Thursday backed up his claim of innocence.
"The investigation has also determined based on evidence and
interviews with witnesses that Franky Session did not play a role in the
kidnapping hoax," a police statement said.
Police said the scene of a struggle in Jasmine's home was staged.
Friel said Jasmine will face criminal charges when she's located.
"This was an extensive investigation," he said. "We pulled
investigators off of other cases and special units off other assignments
to focus on this case. Not to mention the involvement of other
agencies, including the Denver Police Department and the FBI."
Jasmine is white, 5 feet 5 inches tall and about 130 pounds. She has
shoulder-length brown hair and hazel eyes. She might be wearing a school
uniform that includes dark blue sweat pants and a T-shirt.
Anyone with information on Jasmine's whereabouts can call Aurora police at 303-627-3100 or any law enforcement agency.

Poster's Note: Due to these recent revelations and the additional fact that she probably is now in hiding due to pending charges, I am moving this back to Missing Children. Save the Amber Alerts for those who wish to be located.

"Someone just broke into my house and he's trying to take me!"
fifteen-year-old Jasmine Fike told the 911 operator, her voice teetering
on the edge of hysteria. "Please come! Hurry!"
The cops did, but they needn't have rushed -- since they now believe Fike faked the whole thing.
The Aurora Police Department officers flew into action upon receiving
Fike's message -- but by the time they arrived at her home Wednesday
morning, she was gone amid indications that a struggle had taken place.
They also spoke to Fike's mother, who reportedly
received a call from her daughter saying that one Franky Sessions, 37, a
man with past drug convictions, had pulled up in a green Chevy Tahoe
and had pounded on her door.
Shortly thereafter, the APD issued an Amber Alert that went nationwide, as indicated by this poster
from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. But Fike
undermined her own scheme by being too specific about Sessions. The
cops tracked him down and were soon convinced that he hadn't taken part
in any abduction, attempted or otherwise. And now, they believe Fike
staged the entire drama as a precursor to running away.
Yesterday, local TV and radio broadcasts were interrupted to withdraw
the Amber Alert and share the theory that the whole thing had been a
ruse. However, the APD continues to look for Fike, who's thought to be
in real danger this time, as she's believed to be in the company of
"known criminals."

So it appears that Fike's a fake....
Do these young people not realize what a waste of time and money this is for LE, when they could be focusing on truly missing children......it seems to me teenage girls nowadays are very much narcissitic little snots......not all of course, but many more than in the past.....they just do not CARE.....just IMO
Annabeth, Tom, I'm glad you said something about this. Especially your comment Tom, about parents wanting to be friends with their children. That is a very common phenomenon these days and IT'S STUPID! Children will have many friends, but only have 2 parents and it's a constant battle as children get older, for parents to maintain as much influence over their children's behavior as their peers do. As preteens and teens try to assert their independence, parents should be their rock and the people who are setting the right example of how an adult should behave. Instead, the parents are smoking pot and getting drunk with their kids, and having as many drama's over their own boyfriends and girlfriends as their kids are! These parents are going along with their kids and getting tattoo's and nose rings together as some sort of absurd mother/daughter outing. It's a FF messed up, dysfunctional way to 'parent' and no wonder a lot of young people today are immature and reckless. They've got nobody to set a mature example.

AURORA - A man who was suspected to be with a 15-year-old girl
who went missing earlier this week has been cleared of any involvement
by police, but he says the ordeal has tarnished his reputation.
Thirty-seven-year-old Frank Session was tied to the
disappearance of Jasmine Fike. Aurora Police are still looking for her.
An Amber Alert was issued after she disappeared on Wednesday. Police now
believe she staged an abduction and may have run away.
Session says he barely even knows Fike. He says he met her for the
first and only time about a month ago on Colfax Avenue in Aurora when he
spotted Fike walking with her boyfriend. He says he picked them up in
his car and then drove them home.
Police initially described Fike as a former girlfriend of Session's, but he begs to differ.
"I don't know her personally," he said. "You know, she lives her
life, I live mine, and we were totally separate. There was never a
relationship, ever."
Session says the ordeal has been a disaster for himself, his family and his businesses.
"It's been quite devastating, actually," he said. "Everybody at first
was asking me, 'Where's the girl?' There's been a lot of rude threats -
a lot of things going on."
Those threats have not been helped by the fact that Session has a
criminal record. He admits to being a former drug dealer, and according
to the Colorado Bureau of investigation , Session's record includes a
long list of drug charges, burglary and possession of a weapon. But
nothing indicates a history of kidnapping or violent crime.
Session says he's reported every threat to police and is trying to figure out what he needs to do to keep his family safe.
"All the threats - you know my children being in school, I'm thinking
about changing the schools they are going to," Session said.
He says he hopes police are able to track Fike down and get some answers.
"Why are you targeting me?" he asked. "By targeting me, you're
targeting my family and now you've just got us out here looking bad."
Fike's mother tells a very different story. She says Session has
known her daughter for at least a month and has even lived with him for
periods of time. She also says her daughter told her she was sometimes
scared of Session.
Police are calling the abduction a hoax, but Fike's mother says she has her doubts about what's really going on.

AURORA - The subject of a statewide Amber Alert - Jasmine Fike - was found at a fast-food restaurant on Monday.
Fike allegedly staged her own kidnapping last week.
An Aurora Police Crimes Against Children officer spotted a young
woman on Monday that he thought looked familiar to Fike. She had changed
her appearance, according to the officer.
The officer was able to approach Fike once back-up arrived and took her into custody without incident.
Fike is now being held in a juvenile detention center.
CAC Unit detectives plan to pursue criminal charges against Fike in connection with the staged abduction.
Aurora Police say Jasmine Fike staged signs of a physical struggle at
her home and made a frantic 911 call where the 15-year-old said someone
was trying to break into her home and take her. When officers arrived
on scene, she was nowhere to be found.
Police contacted the FBI and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and an Amber Alert was issued.
Iinvestigators then concluded that Fike was a voluntary runaway, and the
kidnapping was a hoax, and the Amber Alert has been officially
cancelled.
The man police were initially looking for as part of the investigation,
37-year-old Franky Session, contacted investigators on Wednesday, and
police do not believe he played a role in the hoax.
Because of the nature of the 911 call, police believed Jasmine was still
in danger. Because of that, the CBI reactivated the Amber Alert for her
