KNIGHTDALE (WTVD) --
The Wake County Sheriff's Office says it's taken a missing person report
for a 15-year-old girl who went out for a run in her neighborhood
Wednesday and hasn't been seen since.

Deputies say Kiara Black left her home in the 12-hundred block of Sweetgrass Street in Knightdale around 1 p.m. Wednesday.
She was wearing a teal shirt with the letters "LA" in grey on it. She was
also wearing blue/black checkered sweatpants. She has long brown hair
that comes to small of her back, brown eyes, and tan skin. She also has a
scar on her left hip from a recent surgery.

Missing Knightdale teen found safe

Knightdale, N.C. — A 15-year-old Knightdale girl who went missing Wednesday has been found safe, authorities said Friday.

Police did not release any details about how Kiara Black was found or why she went missing.

Her mother, Leslie Black, reported her missing after she failed to return from a run Wednesday afternoon.

The girl's family and friends spent Thursday plastering her picture on fliers and Facebook trying to find her.
