Was the Winnie the Pooh balloon and blanket a message???

What was the significance of the Winnie the Pooh stuff being placed at the scene? Did Casey place these things there as a cruel message to Cindy? The winnie the pooh song;

"If you go down in the woods today, you'll get a big surprise" now give me the shivers. Casey must have known her mother would notice the blanket missing and the balloon if it had been at the house. Was she trying to tell Cindy in code what she had done and where?

OMG, I used to sing that song when I was little, it's the "Teddy Bear's Picnic," the song you referenced. The Pooh song goes....

"Deep in the hundred acre wood, where Christopher Robin plays, you'll find an enchanted neighborhood, from Christopher's childhood days...."
