RCMP request assistance in ongoing investigation

RCMP are requesting public assistance in connection with a body that was found in the Red River near Lockport earlier this month.
The body found has now been identified as 19-year-old Tiffany Maureen Skye of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
RCMP investigators are requesting the public’s assistance in determining her whereabouts and activities prior to her death.
Tiffany Skye was last reported to have been in the area of the Forks or Downtown Winnipeg on the afternoon or evening of Monday, August 8, 2011.
Anyone who may have seen Tiffany or been in contact with her on that date is asked to call RCMP Serious Crimes Tip Line at (204)984-6447.

The family of a 19-year-old whose body turned up in the Red River near Lockport wants to unravel the mystery surrounding her death.
Josephine Skye, mother of Tiffany Maureen Skye, said she last saw her daughter at a relative's home on Boyd Avenue. Police are now looking for information from the public on where Tiffany Skye was Aug. 8, when she was last seen around The Forks or downtown.
"I really want to know what happened to her," said Josephine Skye, adding her daughter was not suicidal.
Police said an autopsy has indicated foul play is not suspected. "Investigators are trying to determine her movements leading up to her being located in the Red River, said RCMP D Division spokesman Cpl. Miles Hiebert.
"This is in order to put the pieces of this puzzle together and ensure that nothing has been overlooked."
The RCMP asked the public for tips this week from anyone who saw or spoke to Skye on Aug. 8, five days before her body was recovered near Lockport.
Anyone with information is asked to call the RCMP at 984-6447.
