Casey Anthony: Anchor sounds incredulous at seizure story

WOFL-Channel 35 anchor Amy Kaufeldt sounded incredulous reading this short news story this morning.
“Casey suffers seizures?” the station titled the story.
“Fox News sources saying they confirmed that in Monday’s episode of ‘Dr. Phil,’ Casey’s parents, George and Cindy, are now saying that she suffers from grand mal seizures and that could have led her to lie,” Kaufeldt said.
And Kaufeldt turned “lie” into a two-syllable word.
But Kaufeldt balanced her disbelief with her promotional duties: She reminded viewers that the “Dr. Phil” interview airs at 3 p.m. Monday on WOFL. The interview will continue Tuesday.
WOFL’s website reports that Anthony has suffered at least three grand mal seizures: in 2005 (former fiance Jesse Grund witnessed it), in 2008 (while she was home on bond) and another while incarcerated. The Fox-owned station cited that Fox News Channel source in reporting that the parents tell Dr. Phil McGraw that Casey could have suffered a seizure when Caylee was dying.
Casey Anthony was acquitted in July of murder in the death of her daughter, 2-year-old Caylee. Anthony was convicted of four counts of lying to law enforcement. She is serving a year’s probation somewhere in Florida for check fraud.
