CALLI STEPHENS - 16 yo - Denver City TX

DENVER CITY - Denver City Police are on the hunt for a teen that went missing on Friday morning.



According to KCBD in Lubbock, 16-year-old
Calli Stephens was seen on surveillance video being dropped off at
school at 7:20 a.m.

The Denver City High School Principal says Stephens was supposed to take a test but never made it to the test or class.

Police believe the teen may be with her former boyfriend, 18-year-old Cesar Alejandro Cardona.

Police have received tips that the teens are en route to Kansas in a sliver Nissan Sentra.

Denver City authorities are in search of a teen that reportedly went missing Friday morning.
Denver
City High School Principal Gary Davis says that Calli Stephens, 16, was
last seen on surveillance video being dropped off at school at 7:20
a.m. Friday.
Davis says Stephens was supposed to take a make-up test, but never made it to the test nor class. 　
Texas Rangers are assisting Denver City Police and the Yoakum County Sheriff's Department in the search.　
According
to Davis, Stephens is 5'4", 105 pounds with brown shoulder length hair
and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing jeans, a light gray jacket
carrying a red Denver City volleyball shoulder bag and yellow backpack.

Lt.
Charlie Higgs with the Denver City Police says information suggests
Stephens may be with a former boyfriend, 18-year-old Cesar Alejandro
Cardona. Higgs says they have received tips that the two may be en route
to Kansas or Mexico in a silver Nissan Sentra. The investigation
continues, but right now police have no information to suggest that
Stephens was taken against her will.

The search for a missing teen from Denver City has ended after she was found safe in Tulsa, Oklahoma early Saturday morning.

Denver
City Police say Calli Stephens, 16, was found about 4 a.m. Saturday, on
a bus in Tulsa. The believe she was headed there from Kansas.
Stephens was last seen Friday morning when she was dropped off at
school. Police believe she was with her former boyfriend, Cesar
Cardona, 18.

No charges have been filed against either teenager. Police say they are still investigating.

Stephens' parents are on their way to Tulsa to pick up their daughter.
