REBECCA CALFEE and ALEX KING - 16 yo - Cleveland TN

The mother of a 16-year-old girl is asking for help in locating her daughter and the person she may be with.

According
to Patricia Calfee, her daughter Rebecca was last seen Monday around
midnight. She filed a missing persons report with Cleveland Police
Department officer Phillip Ross.


According to Ross, Rebecca Calfee is believed to be with Alex King, also 16 years old.

Both are students at Walker Valley High School.

According
to Patricia, the two are possibly on foot and someone may be helping
them. She said her daughter has never run away from home before.

The two have been dating for approximately six months, according to Patricia.

She
said Rebecca had been staying with an elderly neighbor who needed care.
Rebecca reportedly left the neighbor’s home in the Freewill Road area
and since then has not been in contact with her mother.

According
to her mother, Rebecca is described as being 5-feet-2-inches tall and
weighing 110 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Tennessee
Wildlife Resources Agency officials checked an area in Harrison late
Tuesday evening after receiving a tip the teens may be on an island
there; however, according to TWRA agent Ben Davis, no contact was made.

According to reports, the teens could also be in the Meigs or Polk County area as well.

Anyone
with information regarding the missing teens is asked to contact the
Cleveland Police Department by calling 728-7311 and pressing the correct
voice prompt, or call Patricia Calfee at 618-8541.

Missing teens located

Two teens who reportedly ran away from home earlier this week were found safe late Wednesday evening.

Rebecca Calfee 16, and Alex King, also 16, were located near Meigs County as they reportedly attempted to make their way to one of King’s uncle’s homes.

Calfee’s mother credits a Cleveland Daily Banner story with helping locate her daughter.

“A lady and man recognized them from an online Banner article and alerted authorities,” said Calfee’s mother, Patricia Calfee.

Rebecca and King were located on Lower Pleasant Hill Road at approximately 10 p.m.

The two disappeared shortly after midnight Monday, according to Patricia.

Rebecca had been helping and house-sitting an elderly neighbor for several days, then reportedly left the house with King.
Facebook posts and Missing Teenagers posters were made and distributed by Mark Neeley and Eric Calfee as well as many other volunteers, according to Patricia.

“Our family wants to thank all of the volunteers, Mark Neeley and the Banner for helping find them,” Patricia said this morning.

n Steel concrete forms valued at $32,500 were taken from the work site along Dalton Pike where roadwork is being performed.

Sixty-five curb formers were taken from the 3100 block of Dalton Pike between Oct. 7 and the 11, according to Bob Gault, media relations coordinator for the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office. The theft was reported by an employee of Highways Inc.

The curb formers are specialized equipment which is “unique to industrial highway construction and would not be suitable for use in residential areas,” Gault said.

Anyone with knowledge of where the curb formers can be found or possessing information regarding the theft should get in contact with the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 728-7337, or 728-7311 and choosing the correct prompt.
