COLUMBUS, Ohio --

Columbus police are asking for help finding a high-school senior who has been missing for two months.


Police say 18-year-old Elisha Looper was last seen at the Northwest Library on Aug. 19.

According to investigators, it is unusual for her to be gone for such a long time without contacting anyone.

Looper has a deformity on her right hand and her left foot, causing her to walk with a slight limp.

CPD issued a missing adult alert for Looper Friday, Oct. 21.

Anyone with information about Looper’s whereabouts is asked to
contact the Columbus Division of Police Missing Persons Unit at

Local Teen Found Safe After 2-Month Disappearance

COLUMBUS, Ohio --

Columbus police find a high-school senior who had been missing for two months.

Officers said 18-year-old Elisha Looper was found safe Sunday.

She was last seen at the Northwest Library Aug. 19. She had been missing for two months.

According to investigators, it was unusual for her to be gone for such a long time without contacting anyone.

CPD issued a missing adult alert for Looper Friday, Oct. 21. It was canceled Sunday night.

CPD said the distribution of a picture and missing-persons poster was instrumental in her safe return.

CPD did not say where she had been since she disappeared.
