CHRISTINA KLECKNER - 24 yo/ Mentally challenged - Cleveland OH

CLEVELAND—

Cleveland police are searching for a woman who has
been missing for more than a month, and they're asking the community for help.


Christina Kleckner, 24, was last seen at her home on Cleveland's west side.
She was last seen when she went to bed on the evening of Oct. 1,
said Albert Kleckner Sr., Christina's father.

"It's been rough at night, you know, with my daughter not being here,"
he said. "She's not playing with her Barbies or her Bratz computer or
bringing me lots of coloring pages."

Albert said the only items missing from her room were a pair of blue
jeans, black boots and a black jacket--what they believe she is wearing
today. She may also be carrying a purse with "Tinkerbell" written on it,
her nickname and favorite cartoon character.

Albert and his wife, Sandy, have plastered the neighborhood with
posters this past month, but have been left with few clues.

They are particularly worried about their daughter's health.
Christina is mentally handicapped and has bipolar disorder.

"She can't read. She can't write," Albert said. "Don't know, she knows
some (denomination) of money. She don't even know how to get change when
she buys something. I don't know what she could do to herself or
somebody else, being she's not taking her medicine."

"It's tough, really tough," Sandy said. "I love her, and whoever has
her, or whoever she's with needs to realize they don't have a typical
24-year-old. They have a child with them. I just hope they can bring her
to us and be able to get her home, where she belongs."

Christina is 5' 7'', has blue eyes and curly, dark brown hair to her shoulders.
She weighs approximately 180 to 200 pounds.

(Cleveland) - Family members and volunteers embarked
on a search for a missing woman Saturday afternoon. It started at 3612
West 48th Street on Cleveland's near west wide.

Christina Kleckner, 24, left her bedroom while preparing for bed last month, and has not been seen since.

Judy Martin of Survivors/Victims of Tragedy Inc. says Christina's
parents reported her missing Sunday, Oct. 2, after last seeing her at 8
p.m.

In the morning, her father discovered she was not in her room. Her
black vinyl jacket was gone. Her mental age is between 8 and 12 years
old.

Martin tells Newsradio WTAM 1100, Christina has frequented the areas
of West 73rd Street and Lorain Avenue and Pearl Road and Archwood
Avenue.

She has brown hair, blue eyes and a scar from a dog
bite on her left ankle. She has used the names Christine Preston and
Tina, Tink and Crystal Kleckner.

Numerous checks with neighbors, as well as area hospitals and shelters have failed to turn up any signs.

Nickname or alias: Christine Preston, Tina Kleckner, Tink Kleckner, Crystal Kleckner.

I haven't been able to find anything recent about Christina, yet she can't have just disappeared into thin air. Apparently this isn't the first time she has gone missing, but in 2005 she was found after two days.

NORTH RANDALL, Ohio -
A missing handicapped girl has been found safe.
Christina Kleckner, 18, was last seen Friday at Thistledown Race Track, NewsChannel5 reported.
Kleckner is mentally handicapped. She was at the track as part of a horse program.
"She went with her mentor to the race track and they were supposed to be back at 6. Well, while she was there, she disappeared," her mother, Sandy Kleckner, said.
North Randall police found Kleckner Sunday on Emery Road in Warrensville Heights.
