WEIDMAN, Mich. (WOOD) - Authorities have issued an Amber Alert for 4-year-old Brody Fish from Isabella County who is believed to be in extreme danger and may be in the Grand Rapids area.

Brody is 3 feet tall and weighs about 40 pounds. He has blonde or strawberry hair.

Brody was believed to have been abducted by 35-year-old Jason Lantz Fish .
Brody's mother Stephanie Fish, 34, is also missing, according to the Isabella County Sheriff's Office. It is currently unclear if she is with her son and Jason Fish.
A cell phone belonging to Jason Fish was pinged in the Grand Rapids area on Sunday afternoon, which means that authorities tracked the cell phone's signal to a Grand Rapids cell phone tower.
This means that Jason Fish and Brody may be in the area.
Jason Fish is 6-foot-2, 220 pounds with a large build. He has blue eyes, brown hair and a goatee.
The Brody may be in Jason Fish's dark green Ford Explorer with the Michigan license plate number BUC0574.
The
Amber Alert release indicated that Brody is "in the company of another
with intent to harm the child, or who has confirmed criminal history of
harming children, sexual assault, domestic assault or is suicidal."
Brody and his mother were last seen on Friday, Nov. 18 at about 7:30 p.m. at their Rolland Road home in Weidman.
A
neighbor of the Fish family told 24 Hour News 8 that police have been
at the residence of the three individuals, who live together, for
several hours. The neighbor said that it does not appear that police
have entered the residence so far today.

ISABELLA COUNTY - The sheriff's office has cancelled the Amber Alert for Brody Fish. The 4-year-old was found, unharmed Sunday evening.

He had been reported missing and in extreme danger earlier in the day.

The boy went missing from a residence in Weidman, northwest of Mt. Pleasant.

Amber Alert case leads to Open Murder charges

ISABELLA CO. -- An Isabella County man is behind bars and charged with Open Murder in the death of his wife.

The case originated Sunday as a missing person case. An Amber Alert was issued for Brody Fish, 4, the son of Jason and Stephanie Fish.　The boy was found with his father in Genesee County Sunday evening.

The body of Stephanie Fish, 34, was found in the couple's Weidman area home. Jason Fish, 34, was arrested on an Open Murder charge early Monday morning.

The Isabella County Sheriff's Office reports a domestic dispute took place Friday at the couples home. The Michigan State Police Crime Lab has been called to help process the crime scene.

Investigators say a .22 caliber rifle has been seized as possible evidence in the case.

Brody is currently staying with a family member.

An autopsy for Stephanie Fish will be scheduled for late Monday or Tuesday.

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — An Isabella County man whose 4-year-old son was the subject of a weekend Amber Alert has been arraigned on a murder charge in the slaying of his wife.

Thirty-five-year-old Jason Fish was arraigned Monday on open murder and other charges in Friday's shooting death of 34-year-old Stephanie Fish. He had been found Sunday with the couple's child during a traffic stop in Genesee County. The child was safe.

Jason Fish was held without bond. A preliminary hearing is Dec. 1. A message seeking information on whether he had a lawyer was sent Tuesday to the county sheriff.

The Morning Sun reports Stephanie Fish's body was found hidden at the couple's home. The Amber Alert was issued Sunday and the search initially was handled as a missing persons case.
