Dr. Jan Garavaglia did a much-anticipated show on TLC tonight: “Dr. G.: Inside The Caylee Anthony Case”. I watched it, as it promised to tell the story from inside the medical examiner’s perspective. The show started by giving all of the background leading up to Caylee’s remains being found, their investigation and then the trial. So at first it went through the 911 calls, Casey’s story, the facts and how none of it lined up. They did include videos of Caylee playing in her baby pool, as well as the infamous ones of her with Cindy in the pool. They went flashing through Casey’s behaviors as well as her bizarre story that didn’t line up. All of that we knew. They included some commentary from Jeff Ashton, as well as Bill Sheaffer.

They went through key points about the smell in the car, the single hair with the deathband, the high levels of chloroform, as well as the determination that there was human decomposition in the car. They laid the ground work to show that Dr. G. enlisted a professional team of experts. It was pointed out that the bones were “dry bones”, so there were no body fluids and no soft tissue at all. Based on their investigation, it was determined that Caylee’s remains were put there in that swamp in the very early stages of decomposition, or prior to any significant decomposition. Dr. G. said there is no doubt that Caylee’s body was placed there very shortly after she was last seen.
