ESCONDIDO, Calif. -- The Escondido Police
Department was notified about a runaway juvenile Friday Afternoon,
according to Escondido Police Lieutenant Chris Wynn.Adan
Francisco Marcos, 12 years old of Escondido, was reported to have run
away from his school bus while on the way home from Rincon Middle
School.Personnel from the school district reported to police that
Adan became upset while at school and said that he did not want to go home.


According to witnesses, he got on the bus at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Friday afternoon.Adan did not go home after school and was last seen walking away with another child who got off the bus.The identity of the child with Adan is not known.Officers from the Escondido Police Department have been looking for Adan for the past 24 hours.All known friends of Adan have been called, but none of them or their parents knows the whereabouts of Adan, authorities said.Local
businesses have been provided flyers and a photograph of Adan and have
been asked to contact the police department if he is seen.In
addition, the school district has initiated an automated phone call to
all Rincon Middle School students in hopes that one of them will be able
to assist in locating Adan.Adan Marcos is a 12 year-old, Hispanic male, 4’5” tall and weighs about 80 pounds.Adan has short brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing white shorts and a black jacket.The
Escondido Police Department is asking anyone with information on the
location of Adan Marcos to contact the police department at (760)

FOUND SAFE
"ESCONDIDO ---- A 12-year-old boy who ran away from home after school Friday has been found safe, police said Sunday night.

Adan Francisco Marcos had walked away from a school bus stop with another boy Friday afternoon. Officials at Rincon Middle School had told police Marcos was upset and said he didn't want to go home.

The Escondido Police Department announced the boy had been found in a brief statement posted on its Twitter account at 7:15 p.m. Sunday. A watch commander reached by phone minutes later said he did not know when or where the boy was found.
