Missing Atlantic Beach teen found safe, returned to family
Jacksonville, FL —
Reed
Sutton was last seen leaving his Atlantic Beach home Sunday. It wasn't
until Wednesday that the Atlantic Beach Police Department received a
call that led them to Sutton.
“We received a tip from a concerned
citizen who had seen a news broadcast with Reed Sutton’s photo on it.
She said she believes she saw Reed Sutton down around the Laura Street
area of Jacksonville,” says Commander Victor Gualillo with the Atlantic
Beach Police Department.
Gualillo continued on to say the
department recruited the help of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and
they found Sutton. He is ok and was returned home to his family shortly
after. Gualillo tells WOKV the public’s help was crucial in finding
Sutton.
“The public has been integral in helping us find Reed. In
particular, to the citizen that called in the tip that lead us to Laura
Street in a very timely manner which was crucial in finding him,” says
Gualillo.
Police say they do not suspect foul play. It is unclear right now as to why Sutton left in the first place
