Re: ASHLEY JARRARD - 16 yo - Braselton GA
The Braselton Police Department
reports that a runaway teen has been located, although she was taken to a
youth detention center.
Ashley Jarrard,
16, was initially reported as missing after family members last heard
from her on Saturday night. Braselton police changed her status to that
of a runaway juvenile on Tuesday, after she ran from officers in
Gwinnett County.
Jarrard and a 17-year-old friend, Kelsey Mahoney, went to several
locations in Barrow and Gwinnett counties, and Atlanta over several
days, according to Braselton assistant police chief Lou Solis. Mahoney
surrendered to a Gwinnett police officer, but Jarrard ran away during
that occasion and four other times during the search, he added.
Jarrard’s father picked her up early Wednesday morning from a location
and brought her back to his house in Hall County, where Braselton police
got her, according to Solis. She was later taken to a youth detention
center in Hall County for probation violation.
Solis credits the Gwinnett County Police Department and the Suwanee
Police Department for helping Braselton police search for the girl.
