SEMINOLE COUNTY —
The family of a missing 14-year-old Seminole County girl is pleading for her
safe return.
Samantha Reyes was last seen Monday at her home she shares with her mother and
little brother, located on Overland Road in Apopka.
Investigators believe she is traveling with two older men with long criminal
histories, including drug and burglary charges.
Investigators believe she could be on her way to Jacksonville, Atlanta or even
Texas. They think she may be traveling with 23-year-old Rodolfo Garcia and
47-year-old Ramon Trejo.
“That's all we're worried about baby girl. We love you. We want you home.
Please," said Reyes' mother Sandy Reyes. “We need you home where you're
safe."
Samantha may have started a relationship with Garcia against her mother’s
wishes.
“He just told her she's beautiful. Told her everything a 14-year-old would
want to hear. She didn't think anyone else loved her as much as he did. He
pretty much brainwashed her,” said Sandy.
Reyes' mother said she is scared for her daughter's safety.
“That's my baby. I miss her. It feels like my hearts has been ripped out
because she’s not here with me,” said Sandy.
The two men once lived next door to Reyes, and then became homeless and
jobless living in these woods.
"My kid is out there and I don't know where she's at. I don't know if they're
feeding her. I don't know where she's sleeping. And I'm worried," said Sandy
Reyes.
Deputies believe Garcia and Trejo stole a car from a dealership to skip town.
Deputies said the nephew and uncle are also suspects in a burglary last
month.
About 25 car keys were swiped from a dealership, along with their titles. The
crooks took an Impala then. A red or maroon Honda Civic was stolen around
the same time Samantha disappeared, according to officials.
WFTV asked why Samantha would run away from home and her mother said she
suffers from depression.
Samantha is only 5 feet and weighs approximately 100 pounds.
Anyone with information on Reyes' whereabouts is asked to call the Seminole
County Sheriff's Office.
