The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children has issued an alert on a teen and man that are missing out of Jeff Davis County.

Michael Dempsey, 35, is accused of abducting Alexis Newman, 14, of Hazlehurst, on June 25. A warrant for custodial interference was issued for Dempsey on June 26, according to the center. They may be traveling on a 2002 blue Suzuki Intruder motorcycle with Georgia plates YCZGUA.

Alexis is described as 5'4" tall and weighs 115 lbs. Dempsey is 6'3" tall and weighs 225 lbs.

Both Alexis and Dempsey may have dyed their hair. Alexis has a small mole on one cheek. Michael's lip and eyebrow are pierced. He has "Teresa" tattooed on his neck as well as several other tattoos on his chest, shoulders and arms. Alexis may use the alias name Lexi Dempsey.

Mom believes abducted GA teen may have been spotted in Montana

Alexis Newman, 14, was abducted from Hazlehurst, Georgia, on June 25,
2012, and now her mother believes that Alexis may have been seen in or
near Great Falls.

Alexis was reportedly taken by her stepfather, Michael David Dempsey, 35.

The girl's mother, Teresa, tells us that she has been contacted via
Facebook by a woman who lives in Great Falls, who told her that she had
seen Alexis and Dempsey on the side of the road holding a sign that said
"Traveling, Need Help."

Teresa said that ordinarily it would have sounded far-fetched, but
Dempsey had expressed several times a desire to go to Montana.

reports that after investigating the disappearance of Alexis, the Jeff
Davis County Sheriff's Office charged Dempsey with a misdemeanor and
began looking for him and his stepdaughter. At the time, the Dempseys
had been separated since January, and Teresa Dempsey was in the process
of moving to Jacksonville.

Alexis is 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighs 115 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Dempsey is 6 feet, 3 inches tall, weighs 225 pounds, and has tattoos
including "Teresa" tattooed on his neck. He also has a pierced lip and
eyebrow.

Anyone who sees them is asked to call the Georgia Bureau of
Investigation at (912) 389-4103, the Jeff Davis Sheriff's Office at
(912) 375-6600, or local law enforcement.

The National Center For Missing & Exploited Children has the case listed as "non-family abduction" and states:

Georgia kidnap victim found safe in Colorado, suspect arrested

PARK COUNTY, Colo. — Sheriff’s office investigators say they found a female kidnap victim from Georgia and put her on an airplane to go back home Thursday.

They located the victim and suspect Michael Dempsey, 35, in the South Park Ranches Subdivision of Park County Wednesday. Deputies acted on information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Dempsey is in jail without bond on a kidnapping arrest warrant out of Georgia.

The 14-year-old girl was reported missing June 25 from Hazlehurst, Georgia. Deputies said she was in good physical condition.

“The Park County Sheriff’s Office is glad to have reunited the victim to her family,” a statement says.
