MA'KAIYLA DAVIS - 15 months - Howard County MD

Howard County police are searching for a 17-year-old girl who they
believe took the 15-month-old child of another teenager who lives in
the same foster home in Elkridge.



Police say Shante Chamblee had agreed to watch Ma'Kaiyla Davis while
the girl's mother was away for the weekend. After learning that her
foster mother would also not be home, police say, Chamblee went to stay
with a former foster mother in Baltimore. Police say Chamblee was last
seen leaving a residence in the 1700 block of Simms Ave. around 11:30
a.m. Sunday.

The former foster mother told police that Chamblee said that she was taking the child to a Chuck E. Cheese
restaurant, but did not say which location. The woman gave Chamblee bus
money to return to Elkridge, but neither Chamblee nor the toddler has
been seen since.

The little girl was seen wearing a blue denim jacket, blue shirt with white flowers, purple pants and red shoes.

Police are asking anyone who sees Chamblee or Ma'Kaiyla to call 911.
Anyone with information is asked to call Howard County police at

Howard County police are searching for a teenage girl who disappeared
over the weekend with a 15-month-old girl she was baby-sitting.

Chamblee, 17, was staying with a friend over the weekend and had in her
care Ma’Kaiyla Davis, the 15-month-old child of another teen at
Chamblee’s foster home in Elkridge, according to Howard County police.

Chamblee
and the child and gone to stay in Baltimore, with her former foster
mother, when she learned that her current foster mother, in Elkridge,
would be away for the weekend, police said.

Chamblee was last
seen leaving the Baltimore residence with the infant at 11:30 a.m.
Sunday. Her former foster mother reported that Chamblee said she was
going to a Chuck E. Cheese restaurant but did not tell her which
location.

Her former foster mother gave Chamblee bus fare and
expected her to return to her current foster home, in the 6900 block of
Scarlet Oak in Elkridge, by the end of the weekend.

The infant
was last seen wearing a blue denim jacket, blue shirt with white
flowers, purple pants and red shoes, police said. Chamblee’s clothing
description is unknown.

Police are asking anyone who has seen
either to call 911. They also are asking anyone with information on the
pair or their whereabouts to call Howard County police at 410-313-3200.

Howard County Police have found a missing teenager and a baby safe and sound.

Chamblee, 17, and Ma'Kauka Davis, 15 months, were first reported
missing over the weekend after Chamblee did not return to her foster
home with Davis.

Both were found safe tonight at their foster home in Elkridge.

Police are continuing to investigate where Chamblee and the infant were the last few days.
