Lawyers look to change venue of Casey Anthony civil trial
Trial set to begin in January

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Lawyers in the civil case against Casey Anthony will argue whether her upcoming defamation trial should be moved out of Orange County.

Due to extensive pre-trial publicity, Anthony's lawyers said the trial needs to be moved out of the area. The trial is set to begin in January.

Attorneys said they're also against bringing in an out of town jury to Orange County, like Anthony's criminal trial in 2011.

Zenaida Gonzalez is suing Anthony for defamation. She said Anthony’s claim that a nanny by the same name kidnapped her daughter, Caylee, ruined her life.

Anthony was acquitted of first-degree murder in July 2011. She served a year’s probation in an unrelated check fraud case in an unknown location.

The hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in front of Judge Lisa Munyon.
