Casey Anthony: WKMG uncovers 'evidence that points right at Casey' OS

WKMG-Channel 6 will offer what it is billing as a major story in the Casey Anthony saga.
The report, from Tony Pipitone, won't air until 11 p.m. Tuesday. But WKMG will start promoting the report at 11 p.m. Monday.

"This is one of the biggest Tony Pipitone investigations we've had," WKMG news director Steve Hyvonen said. "Tony uncovers evidence that could have changed the jury's mind -- evidence that points right at Casey. But it was never presented in court because the prosecution didn't know about it. Tony is still working on putting the story together, and it will air Tuesday night at 11."
Anthony was acquitted in July 2011 of murder in the 2008 death of her daughter, Caylee. Anthony is being sued for defamation by Zenaida Gonzalez.

A promotional spot for the report shows a shaken Jose Baez, who represented Anthony, saying, "I don't understand how no one ever knew about this evidence."

New Casey Anthony Evidence Promised By Orlando TV Station

Orlando, FL - Casey Anthony is under investigation by Orlando’s WKMG-TV, and news director Steve Hyvonen says the station has “evidence that could have changed the jury’s mind — evidence that points right at Casey.”

Reporter Tony Pipitone filed the story, which Hyvonen says was “never presented in court, because the prosecution didn’t know about it.”

In a promo for the report, Anthony’s lawyer, Jose Baez, said, “I don’t understand how no one ever knew about this evidence.”

The report will air during WKMG’s 11 pm newscast on Tuesday.

Casey Anthony is currently engaged in a civil lawsuit with Zenaida Gonzalez, who is suing the “Tot Mom” for defamation after Anthony claimed a woman with a similar name kidnapped her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.

Anthony is planning to plead the fifth in that case, but her brother, Lee, will have to testify. The trial is scheduled to begin in January 2013.

Zenaida Gonzalez’s attorney, John Dill, said, “Casey Anthony could potentially be held in criminal contempt if she fails to appear. I wouldn’t tempt this judge if I were her.”

Anthony claimed she wasn’t able to get a fair trial in Orlando, as the publicity for her murder trial and subsequent legal trials haven’t died down. Gonzalez’s attorney, Keith Mitnik, said they believed they “can get justice anywhere.” He also said the defense should pay for any costs if the trial is moved.

Under Florida’s civil procedure rules, the party asking for a change of venue has to pay all associated costs.

Anthony’s lawyer said his client is “indigent” and has no source of income to pay the costs of moving the trial.

Crucial Evidence Found In Casey Anthony Case, New Bombshell Revealed by TV Station

Prosecutors in the Casey Anthony case missed 98 percent of a crucial batch of evidence that they would have used to try to prove her guilt, the reporter on a bombshell new report from Orlando's WKMG-TV tells RadarOnline.com.

The station will broadcast its report Tuesday night and promises to reveal "evidence that could have changed the jury's mind -- evidence that points right at Casey,” according to news director Steve Hyvonen. But RadarOnline.com obtained some of the shocking new details, from Tony Pipitone, the star reporter behind the new report.

"We've uncovered an astounding failure by investigators that left prosecutors unaware of more than 98 percent of a crucial batch of evidence,” Pipitone told Radar.

Pipitone and the station then made prosecutors aware of that evidence, and the reaction they received proved its value.

“When we revealed it to them last week, they said they would have used some of it to try to prove Casey's guilt," Pipitone added.

As RadarOnline.com has previously reported, Casey was let off the hook on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated manslaughter and aggravated child abuse in the 2008 death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee, when a Florida jury found her not guilty in July 2011.

She's currently engaged in a civil lawsuit with Zenaida Gonzalez, after telling authorities that a woman with a similar name had kidnapped her missing daughter. She plans to plead the fifth.

The story will air during WKMG-TV’s 11 p.m. ET newscast on Tuesday.
