Brian Fields, Kids In Distress Employee, Arrested For Sexually Assaulting Abused Child

An employee at a shelter for abused and neglected children is facing
charges he repeatedly sexually assaulted one of the children.


Wilton Manors police say Brian Fields, 31, performed sex acts four times with a 15-year-old girl at a Kids In Distress facility between December 26th and January 6.

WSVN reports the girl had also been a victim of another former Kids In Distress employee, Brian Denby, who was arrested several weeks ago.

Fields, who had worked at Kids In Distress for 10 years according to CBS Miami, was fired following the arrest.

He is charged with 12 counts of lewd and lascivious conduct with a child, and being held on $120,000 bail at the Broward County Jail.

“We are looking at all of our procedures, all of our security measures to update them and to provide as much enhances security as we possibly can," Kids In Distress CEO Mark Dhooge told CBS.
