Investigators fear they may be in danger after grow house found

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. - Police in Altamonte Springs are trying to find a mother and her baby they fear may be in danger.

Investigators are searching for 21-year-old Elizabeth McCreery and her 7-month-old daughter Penelope Hogarth. Police were called to a home on Adelaide Boulevard Tuesday night after getting an anonymous tip the child was not being cared for.

The mom and daughter were not at the home, but police said they instead found a marijuana growing operation inside.

One man was taken into custody, but police said he refused to say where McCreery and Hogarth are.

Anyone who sees them or knows their whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Altamonte Springs police.

According to the Orlandosentinel.com, Jessica McCreery and baby Penelope are alive and well! There are pictures of them with 5-14-2015 signs and the PD says "alive and well". She apparently fled for fear of social services taking her baby. The baby does look thin and a doctor speculates that she may have failure to thrive.
