XAVIER GARCIA - 2 yo - Surprise AZ
A little boy was taken by his father early
this morning from his home near Bell and Grande. Surprise police say he
assaulted the boy's mother with a knife. He has no visitation rights.
The little boy is 2 year old Xavier Garcia. He has a scratch under
his right eye and was wearing brown short and a green shirt with tigger
on it.
The suspect, 20 year old Micheal Garcia was driving a white Toyota,
2 door Paseo. License plate ADJ0820. He is about 114 pounds, 5'7", with
dark short hair. He was wearing brown shorts with a white tank top and
a tatoo that says yolanda on the left side of his neck. Plus 2 unknown
tatoo's on both shoulders.

Surprise police issued an Amber Alert early Wednesday morning for a
missing two-year-old boy who was allegedly abducted by his father.
Lieutenant
Randy Rody said Michael Garcia, who does not have custody or visitation
rights, assaulted the child’s mom at knifepoint and took Xavier Garcia
by force.
The attack happened at the mom's house near Bell and Litchfield roads.
It’s unclear where the suspect took his son.
He was last seen driving a 1992 white, 2-door Toyota Paseo with Arizona license plates ADJ0820.
Investigators
describe Xavier Garcia two-feet tall, 35 pounds, with brown eyes and
short, black hair. He was wearing brown shorts and a green shirt with
the character “Tigger” on it.
His father, Michael, is described as a 20-year-old Hispanic male, 5’7,’’ 114 pounds with short, brown hair and black eyes.
He was last seen wearing a white tank top and brown shorts.
He has several tattoos on his shoulders and one on his neck that reads “Yolanda.”

Surprise police are looking for a man believed to have taken his 2-year-old son after attacking the mother with a knife.
An Amber Alert was issued after Xavier Garcia was taken from the 13000 block of West Cottonwood Lane Tuesday night.
Police identified the suspect as Michael Garcia, 20.
Surprise Police Sgt. Mark Ortega said Michael Garcia attacked the
child's mother with a knife before taking off with the boy. She
received minor injuries.
"We don't believe that he (the boy) is in any danger," Ortega
said. "We believe the primary focus of this was a domestic violence
situation that just got carried away."
He added, "We don't know of any injuries to the son at this time."
The father and son were last seen in a white 1992 Toyota Paseo
with Arizona license plate ADJ-0820. The direction of travel was
unknown.

pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He had a scratch under his
right eye. He was wearing a green shirt with a "Tigger" emblem and

The State of
Arizona canceled the Amber Alert Wednesday morning (08-26) after the
boy was found safe in Phoenix. The suspect has been taken into custody.

Surprise. The suspect reportedly assaulted the boy's mother with a
knife then took the boy and fled in the listed vehicle. Surprise is
located approximately ten miles east of Phoenix.

A man who abducted his 2-year-old son from a Surprise home early

Michael reportedly barricaded himself inside the home for a short time before being taken into custody.
Police said Xavier is OK and no injuries were reported.
"He's good," said Xavier's grandfather, Barry Napoli. "He's everything to us right now. We're just glad he's alright."
