ARIZONA HOLLENBECK - 10 months - Hendersonville NC
The Henderson County Sheriffs Office is seeking the help of the
public in locating two people and their 10-month-old female child.
The baby, Arizona Hollenbeck, was placed in the custody of the
Henderson County Department of Social Services as the result of a
hearing that took place on Jan. 20, 2009. On May 7, the Department of
Social Services placed the child back in the home with her parents,
Henry Wayne Hollenbeck and Cathy Regina Hollenbeck, on a trial basis.Since then, the parents have failed to comply with the standards set forth in the plan established by DSS.The
Hollenbecks, who are required to be available at all times to their
case worker and to notify DSS of their whereabouts at all times; have
not been in contact with DSS since noon Monday, Oct. 10. Investigators
from the Sheriffs’ Office discovered that the Hollenbecks were evicted
from their last listed residence on Warrens Way in Alpine Woods. It
appears that they have fled the area and made every effort to conceal
their whereabouts. Warrants have been issued for the arrest of
both Hollenbecks for felony child abduction for unlawfully abducting
Arizona Hollenbeck who is in DSS custody. Both Henry Wayne Hollenbeck,
37, and Cathy Regina Hollenbeck, 32, are entered NCIC wanted as well. According
to Sheriff Rick Davis, “Our investigators worked well into the night
last night and are still following leads this morning in an effort to
find the child and take the parents into custody. We are working with
the Department of Social Services to try to locate these people but we
suspect that they may have left the Henderson County area based on our
leads thus far. We can not issue an Amber Alert because no one can tell
us that they are afraid for the safety of the child. My concern
however, is that she has severe asthma that requires medications and
regular breathing treatments and we can't be certain that the
Hollenbecks are in a place or position to provide her the care she
needs. We can only hope so until such time as we find them and recover
the child.” The Hollenbecks have been charged with child neglect in the past. Any
one having information concerning the location of the Hollenbecks is
asked to call the Henderson County Sheriffs’ Office at 694-2786 and
speak with or leave a message for Sgt. Anderson of the Criminal
Investigations Unit.
