DESIREE MENDEZ - 16 yo - North Fresno CA

More than a dozen people gathered in North Fresno Tuesday night to pray for the safe return of a missing girl.
16 year old Desiree Mendez was last seen yesterday morning, leaving for school near Chesnut and Clinton but she never arrived.
Nearly 20 people gathered at Bullard and Fresno tonight to hold a vigil for Desiree.
Her family is concerned, because Desiree is on dialysis, and does not have her needed medication.
Desiree is 4’11”, 135 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes.
She was last seen wearing a black sweater, pants and shoes.

A 16-year-old dialysis patient who left her Fresno home Monday and
missed two nights of life-saving treatment was found shortly after 5:30
p.m. today. She was immediately taken to a Fresno hospital, said Fresno
police spokesman Jeff Cardinale.Desiree Mendez was found about
an hour after a news conference at which her mother and Police Chief
Jerry Dyer pleaded with the girl to return home.
