A West Asheville woman is seeking the public’s help to find her daughter who was last seen Monday night.Barbara
Shipman said she went to check on her 15-year-old daughter Selida
Nicole Shipman about 11:45 p.m. Monday and couldn’t find her. Her
bedroom was empty and a window was open, which is how Shipman thinks
her daughter left her Barn Owl Road residence.

Shipman
said she thinks her daughter was with a boy. Shipman has seen the boy
since her daughter’s disappearance and he told Shipman he doesn’t know
her daughter’s whereabouts.Shipman said she has filed a
missing person report with the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office.
Shipman also said she was going to make fliers to distribute. Anyone with information about Selida Shipman’s whereabouts should call the sheriff’s office at 255-5000.

Per Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office, Selida has been located.
