CHASE KLOPPENBORG - 2 months - (2009) Davenport IA

I just do not understand how any human being can purposely harm a child. It is truly sad. What could a 2 month old do other than cry? I hope there is justice for this child.

Sadly, Chase Kloppenborg did pass this last Friday. However, it is now being reported that his abuser, Brian Fix, is now being charged with murder among other various charges. There are two benefits coming up shortly, one is December 13th at Uptown Bar and Grill in Bettendorf, IA. Times are 12-6 pm, 5$ door cover which will be donated to the family. Davenport man reaches plea deal in death of child


A Davenport man says he’s guilty in the death of a toddler. In a plea deal Wednesday with Scott County prosecutors, 25-year-old Brian Fix admitted his treatment of two-month-old Chase Kloppenborg caused the child’s death.
Chase suffered massive head and other injuries and later died after being under Fix’s care in November 2009. Fix is not the child’s father but was his mother’s boyfriend. Fix had been charged with first-degree murder and was set to go on trial Monday. Instead he pled guilty to involuntary manslaughter and two counts child endangerment.
Fix will be sentenced next month. He could get 65 years behind bars.
