Seventeen year old Alaina Heslep was last seen Wednesday night around 10:30 leaving her home in north Pulaski County.
Authorities say she has the mental capacity of a small child so they're
worried about her. She was last seen in a light pink jacket and dark
jeans.
Police say someone matching her description was seen standing near a
vehicle along Highway 107 last night. That vehicle is a silver 4-door
Dodge pick up truck.
Police want the driver of that vehicle to call them. If you see Alaina or know anything about her disappearance call 911.

Pulaski County authorities say a 17-year-old girl missing since late Wednesday evening has been found safe.

According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, 17-year-old Alaina
Heslep had last been seen about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday when she left her
home at 5512 Lynne Drive in Northern Pulaski County. Authorities say
Alania suffers from Fragile X Syndrome, a genetic condition that leaves
a person with the mental capacity of a younger child.

Search crews from the PCSO, the Pulaski County Office of Emergency
Management, Gravel Ridge Fire Department--along with search dogs from
the Department of Correction--worked through the night, but were unable
to locate the missing girl.

Thursday morning, authorities say they received a call from an area
resident who had found Heslep standing in her driveway, fed her and
gave her a place to stay for the night.

Heslep was taken to the Jacksonville Police Department, where she was reunited with her family late Thursday morning.
