ORIN BRIGHTWELL - 8 yo - Liberty MO

LIBERTY, Mo. - Liberty Police are searching for an eight-year-old boy
who they believe was kidnapped by his father. Orin Brightwell, 8, was
last seen with his father, Hector Cantu, in Liberty. Cantu was driving
a black F-150 truck with gray and silver stripes down the side around
1:30 p.m.

The truck has Tennessee plates 716-CBS. Cantu had indicated that he
intended to take Orin out-of-state and police think he may be headed
for Tennessee or Texas.

Police said there was no indication that the child is in danger. Anyone
with information should call the Liberty Police Department at (816)

After being notified of a potential parental kidnapping Sunday, Dec.
13, Liberty Police are working with other law enforcement agencies to
locate Orin Brightwell, 8, who spent the weekend with his father,
Hector Cantu. Cantu was last seen in Liberty Sunday, Dec. 13, at
approximately 1:30 p.m.
Cantu was driving a black Ford F-150 pickup with gray and silver
stripes down the side. The truck has Tennessee license plates, 716-CBS.
Liberty Police have indications that Cantu may be headed to Tennessee
or Texas. The child is not believed to be in any danger.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Liberty police said they located a missing 8-year-old boy and his father on Monday.
Investigators initially said Orin Brightwell was taken by his father Hector Cantu.Police said the boy spent the weekend with Cantu and was never returned home.Investigators said they found Cantu in Independence with his son. Police said the child was not in danger.Police are still investigating.
