PITTSBURGH -- The mother of a 12-year-old
Homewood girl said her daughter is missing after the girl failed to
return home from her North Side school on Monday."My daughter
left my house at 9 a.m. yesterday morning. I have not seen her since,
and nobody can tell me my daughter just dropped off the face of the
earth," Alexandra Green's mother, Viola Marshman, told Channel 4 Action
News.
Green
attends Clayton Academy. Her mother, who lives on Race Street, said the
child wasn't feeling well and was given permission by her father to
leave school around 11 a.m. and head home.Green was supposed to
get on a Port Authority 11D bus on Perrysville Avenue, about a block
away from school. That bus would have taken her to the Wood Street
trolley station, where she could catch a bus to Frankstown Avenue in
Homewood."She has not came in this house. She has not answered
her cell phone -- even her close friends. I have called and called and
called," Marshman said.Marshman has said that one of her daughter's friends said that they had been
chatting online with older men, and Marshman said she went through her
daughter's room and found writings about a 14-year-old Beltzhoover boy.The
mother said she hadn't known about either of those developments, and
both possibilities scare her because the girl left important belongings
behind."Her money and everything is still upstairs. She didn't
take anything with her," Marshman said. "I need my child back at home.
She's 12 years old. That's all she is."Green is described as
approximately 5 feet 4 inches and 150 pounds, with long, black hair
styled in five or six long, thick braids. She was wearing her school
uniform of a green shirt with tan slacks, and a brown coat with fur
around the hood.Cipriani reported that missing persons
detectives from the Pittsburgh Police Bureau are investigating the
case. Anyone with information about the girl should call 412-323-7141
and can remain anonymous. The child is known to frequent the
Paulson Recreational Center on Paulson Avenue and a community park on
Paulson at Joseph Street, but police said they checked both of those
places and did not see her.

Re: ALEXANDRA GREEN - 12 yo - Homewood PA
Pittsburgh police last night found a
12-year-old girl who was reported missing after receiving permission to
leave school because she was sick.
Police found Alexandra Green of Homewood about 10:30 p.m. hiding in
the bedroom closet of her 14-year-old boyfriend, who lives in
Beltzhoover. She was returned to her parents unharmed and without
incident, police said.
Green's mother left the girl off Monday at Clayton Academy in the
North Side. The school later called home to say the girl was ill, and
her father gave his permission for her to take a bus home.
