"Baby Jane" BAPTIST - 11 Weeks - Boynton Beach FL

Police say a man admitted losing his temper and repeatedly slapping his 11-week-old baby.Detectives have charged Jean-Carlo Baptist, 21, with one count of felony aggravated child abuse. He is in the Palm Beach County Jail with bail set at $5,000.Baptist
called 911 on Saturday and said the girl had fallen out of bed and
suffered a head injury while his wife was at work, according to an
arrest report.Paramedics took the infant to Bethesda Memorial Hospital. Her condition was not available Monday night.Emergency
room workers determined the child's injuries were so severe that she
was taken to the Delray Medical Center trauma center, according to the
report.Police said the injuries to the child were not consistent with Baptist's story.During
the investigation, Baptist admitted he was tired after working his
night job and lost his temper when the child would not stop crying,
according to the report. He told police he slapped the baby at least
six times, the report said.
