KAYLYN HALL-WATTERS - 16 yo - Bartow County/Rockmart GA
A Bartow County investigator is working with the families of two
missing young people, trying to figure out where they might have fled,
according to a law enforcement official.
Major Doug Duncan with
the Bartow County Sheriff's Department said there is a juvenile
department which handles such cases as that of Kaylyn Hall, 16,
reported missing 20 days ago by her parents.
Hall, a Cass High
School student, is formerly of Rockmart. Her parents started
circulating emails Tuesday with her picture in hopes someone would
recognize her. According to the email, Hall ran away with her boyfriend
after an argument with her mother.
Hall has long red hair, is
five feet tall and weighs 100 pounds. She was last seen wearing a Cass
High blue softball hooded sweatshirt, tennis shoes and a pink and gray
backpack.
Duncan said there isn't a lot he can say about the
case because it involves a juvenile. He did confirm that it is thought
she ran away with her boyfriend, but could not give the boyfriend's
name or age.
A missing report has been filed for boyfriend as well, although his parents have not made that public.
"The juvenile officer is talking with his family. He spoke with them yesterday," Duncan said.
Duncan said both families have been cooperative and anxious for the couple's safe return.
He said the juvenile office may have been getting telephone leads from
the email posting, but he couldn't say how many because it is a
separate department.
Duncan said the department has changed its
efforts regarding runaways in recent years. At one point, a runaway
teen was put on a high-priority list but this department can focus on
these cases like never before.
He said runaway cases must be handled differently than those feared abducted, but are equally important.
"First, safety of the juvenile is the most important thing. Locating
them as quickly as possible is the highest priority," he said.
Anyone with information is urged to call local law enforcement or the Bartow County Sheriff's Office at 770-382-5050.

Repost from Kaylyn's MySpace page:
First things first: You won't break me. I've seen and
heard far too much to let someone else take me down. Only I can bring
about my own destruction. So far I've been through 16 years of hell,
and I look forward to the next 16. I'm intelligent, so don't
underestimate me. And although I may not always appreciate it, I thrive
under pressure. I'm a determined individual. Determined to succeed, to
live, to love, and most importantly, to stand out. I'm going to be
somebody, even if it kills me. My life needs to have meaning, a
purpose; substance. And I won't give up until I've made that a reality.
I'm not the typical "party hard" teenager. I prefer being able to
remember my good times than know my best memories were the ones which i
cannot recall. I have held a joint between my fingers, but on
the contrary to popular belief, I don't mess around with that stuff
anymore. I don't claim myself as a pothead, so please, just stop
assuming you know me. The past is in the past, so let's keep it there.
I am currently taken by a Mr. Nicholas Lee Taylor, so please, don't
talk to me like I'm single. You'll be shut down and probably walk away
looking stupid. He's my everything now and the owner of my heart?. I
can sit for hours on end at a table with a coloring book and a box of
crayolas. I like my music louder than can be physically tolerated and I
don't stop til I get enough. I'm a strong person on the outside, and a
wreck on the inside. I don't tolerate bulshit; I'll stand up for myself
and anyone that needs it. I wont hestitate to hurt your feelings, and
I'll be the first to call you out on your shit. I'm actually a really
nice person, but most don't get my sense of humor or my set of mixed up
morals. I love meeting new people and I'm always up for a new friend. I
cant read minds or see the future or anything cool like that, but I
wicked awesome if you get to know me.
Never let yourself get comfortable."
Nicholas Lee Taylor; Where to start with you? Well, you're amazing. And you make me happier than I've been in such a long
time. You treat me how I'm supposed to be treated, not like dirt, and
I've grown to love you for it. You've been my best friend since the 5th
grade and you've been there for me every step of the way; through thick
and thin. I seriously believe we were made for each other. How else
could you explain how far we've come and what we've been through
together? You deserve nothing but the best, and Lord knows I try to
give that to you everyday; I live to let you shine. You're an amazing
guy and I'm so lucky that you love me. I owe you my life cause you've
literally saved it many times before. And after all the stupid mistakes
that you've made, and after all those flaws that you have...I've
noticed that none of it matters because I truley love you. We fell in
love, despite our differences, and once we did, something rare and
beautiful was created. I'll never forget a single moment of it.

Re: KAYLYN HALL-WATTERS - 16 yo - Bartow County/Rockmart GA
Copy of an e-mail sent by Kaylyn's Mom:
Kaylyn
is my middle daughter, age 16. With her long flowing red hair, she is
hard to miss if you see her. She is very petite - about 5 feet, 100lbs.
The week prior to Christmas holidays, she and her boyfriend got into some
trouble at school. After giving her the "you can't see the boyfriend"
speech, she became hostile enough that I had to admit her to a
stabilization center for several days (she is bi-polar and requires
this when her medicine does not calm her down.) The night after she was
released home, she and her boyfriend ran off in the middle of the
night. we have not had a single word from either of them. She left
wearing a Cass High Blue softball hoodie, tennis shoes, one pink and
gray backpack and at least $100. Neither have their cell phones, a
driver's license or car. She has no ID at all.
We do have friends in law enforcement who are looking for her. They have checked
the boyfriend's family to see if they have heard anything, as well as
other friends and family. All phone records are being followed up on as
well.
We do have someone watching our cabin in Rockmart, but feel she is too smart to go there.
I'm attaching a photo of her. If you see her, please contact the Bartow
County Sheriff's Office. You can be anonymous - I just want to know she
is safe and okay. You can also contact me day or night.
Thanks again for all your prayers.
