The bodies of Bulgarian native, Slavka Naydenova, and her son, Paul Wilson, who were killed in Dale City, the United States, on February 2, arrived in Sofia Sunday with a flight from Istanbul.
The father, Pavel Naydenov was at the Sofia airport. He informed the funeral is scheduled for Tuesday at 2:30 pm in the village of Mirovyane where Naydenova’s mother is buried. A memorial service will be held in Sofia’s “Sveti Sedmochilenitsi” church prior to the funeral.
Naydenov says he has not been called by the US authorities for testimony and his daughter-in-law, Darina Pavlova, who lives in the US, is the one in touch with the investigation.
The father further explained the police are looking for accomplices of Natalia Wilson, who is charged with the murders.
The transportation of the bodies to Bulgaria has been slowed down because of planned expertise in the US, which had to determine whether there are DNA traces of an accomplice of the main suspect, Natalia Wilson.
Naydenova and her son were stabbed to death in their home at 4501 Hanover Court inDale City. Naydenova’s husband came home from work to find their bodies about 11 p.m. Monday, police said.
According to a criminal complaint on file in Prince William General District Court, Natalia Wilson, 47, a Russian native, charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Slavka Pavlova Naydenova, 41, and her son Paul Wilson, 8 “was jealous of her husband’s relationship with Slavka.”
Wilson’s husband, Lester, is Slavka Naydenova’s ex-husband.

Prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty against a woman accused of killing a Dale City mother and son in February.
In court documents filed Sept. 10, prosecutors said they will seek the death penalty against Natalia Wilson, 47, who is charged with capital murder for the Feb. 1 deaths of Slavka Pavlova Naydenova, 41, and her son, 8-year-old Paul Alexander Wilson.
In the court documents, prosecutors said that if a jury convicts Wilson of capital murder, they will ask for the death penalty because of Wilson’s potential to commit future violent crimes and because of the vile nature of the murders.
Prince William Commonwealth's Attorney Paul Ebert said it will be his first time seeking the death penalty against a woman. Ebert, a veteran prosecutor, has put more killers on death row than any other prosecutor in Virginia.
At a preliminary hearing in the case, prosecutors said Wilson stabbed Naydenova over 50 times and, when Paul entered the room, Wilson stabbed him too.
Naydenova’s husband discovered their bodies after he arrived home from work to their house in the 4500 block of Hanover Drive in Dale City.
Police identified Wilson, who is currently married to Naydenova’s ex-husband, as a suspect.
At the preliminary hearing, police said Wilson originally denied being in the Dale City area that night, but later told police that she and Naydenova fought. She said she did not remember everything that happened.
In court documents, police said Wilson went to Naydenova’s house that night because she “was jealous of her husband's relationship with Slavka.”
Wilson is being held without bond in Prince William-Manassas regional jail. Her trial date has not yet been set.

An Arlington County woman pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of capital murder, admitting she fatally stabbed her husband’s 8-year-old son from a prior marriage and the boy’s mother.
Natalia Wilson, 50, was sentenced to two consecutive life terms without the possibility of parole as part of the agreement, Prince William County Commonwealth’s Attorney Paul B. Ebert said. In Virginia, capital murder carries only two possible punishments: death or life without parole.
Slavka P. Naydenova, 41, and her son, Paul A. Wilson, were slain in February 2010 in Naydenova’s Dale City home, according to police. The bodies were discovered by Naydenova’s husband.
Ebert said in an interview that Wilson, who came to the United States from Russia, had become jealous of the relationship between her husband, Lester Wilson, and Naydenova, his ex-wife. Lester Wilson, who had been spending time at Naydenova’s home, denied an affair and said he wanted to spend time with his son. But Natalia Wilson doubted him, prosecutors said.
Authorities said they believe the boy was killed after he tried to come to the aid of his mother, Ebert said. His body was found on top of hers.
Ebert said that pursuing the death penalty would have proved difficult. “It starts with a jury’s reluctance to sentence a woman to death,” he said.
At the heart of the case was Wilson’s taped confession. After a 22-hour interrogation, she confessed to thekillings but said it was self-defense, according to court documents. She couldn’t explain, prosecutors say, why Naydenova had been stabbed between 40 and 50 times.
Most of the videotaped interrogation was done with the help of an interpreter, and it would have been difficult for a jury to follow, Ebert said.
Ebert also said that Lester Wilson did not want prosecutors to seek a death sentence.
“Initially, I felt that whoever committed this crime should face the highest punishment,” Lester Wilson wrote in a letter to Ebert. Once he discovered his wife was the suspected killer, he changed his mind, he wrote, partly because he had developed a relationship with Natalia Wilson’s daughter and partly because he wanted to see the criminal case come to an end, Ebert said.
Defense attorneys, who did not immediately return calls for comment on Tuesday, had argued in pretrial motions that Wilson’s confession should be thrown out because of what they said were coercive interrogation tactics as well as problems with translation. A judge overruled those concerns.
In a letter from jail included in the court record, Wilson wrote that she misses her life with her husband. “I had my life with you. I was really happy, because I had it all,” she wrote. “All I feel pain in my heart, in my soul, and in my mind. . . . Why I here in jail?”
