"Male Newborn" - Westminster-Adams County/Denver CO

The body of a near-term fetus or very
young infant was discovered in a cloth travel bag in a home in the 4100
block of West 111th Circle in Westminster on Wednesday, the Adams County
coroner's office said Thursday.
The occupants of the home made the discovery, but an autopsy did not
determine the cause of death, according to the coroner.
No other information was released Thursday night concerning the
child.

Westminster police did not release additional information, saying the case has been sealed by a judge.

..."The homeowner told investigators he smelled a foul odor coming from the basement and located the baby in a bag in the corner. The body was decomposed and mummified, and later determined to be a near term male.

25-year-old Melinda Hudson turned herself in to Westminster Police shortly after the body was found and pleaded guilty to criminally negligent child abuse."...
