EMILY SCHUBERT - 15 yo and BENJAMIN CHILTON - 12 yo - Palo Alto CA
Palo Alto CA ---- A 15-year-old Palo Alto girl and her 12-year-old Portola Valley
boyfriend went missing Wednesday night or early Thursday morning and are
believed to have run away together.
The girl, Emily Schubert, has been reported missing to the Palo Alto
Police Department.
Benjamin Chilton's parents discovered their son missing from their home
when they went to wake him up for school Thursday morning, according to
the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.
Friends of Ben and Emily said the two planned to go to the
Haight-Ashbury area of San Francisco to hang out, the Sheriff's Office
reported. It is unknown how they are traveling.
Emily is described as white, 5-foot-7-inches tall, 105 pounds with
bright pink and red hair and brown eyes. She was last seen carrying a
multi-colored backpack, according Palo Alto Police Agent Sandra Brown.
Ben is described as white, 5-foot-9-inches tall, 135 pounds with blond
hair and blue eyes.
Brown confirmed Friday morning that the pair have not yet been found.
Law enforcement agencies in San Mateo, Santa Clara and San Francisco
counties have been notified, along with transit agencies. San Francisco
police officers are "actively looking" for the youths.
Information about Ben and Emily has also been entered into a nationwide
database for missing persons.
People with information on the whereabouts of either youth are asked to
contact any law enforcement agency.

Thursday, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. Emily
Schubert and Benjamin Duncan Chilton returned to their respective homes
today in good health and uninjured, according to the sheriff's office. The
two were reported missing after Chilton's parents went to wake him up
for school Thursday morning and he was not there. Chilton
apparently left with Schubert overnight, and friends had said they were
headed to the Haight-Ashbury area of San Francisco. Chilton
returned home at about 2 p.m. today. He had been missing on his own
accord, according to the sheriff's office.
