CATALINA ISABELA SERNA - 1 yo - Henderson (NE of Durham) NC / TX and FL alerted

Henderson NC ---- The Henderson
County Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing one year old
girl whom they believe was abducted by her father.
The Sheriff's Office
says that Catalina Isabela Serna was reportedly abducted by her father,
Fabian Ezekial Serna. According to the Sheriff's Office,
Serna's mother, Amy Nicole Roberts reported her daughter was abducted
on Friday, June 11 at 12:30 pm while the child was in the care of Elise
Serna, Fabian Serna's step-mother.
According to the Sheriff's Office, the
abduction took place at 55 Old Dana Road in Hendersonville,
when Fabian Serna left with the child in what is believed to be a white
Pontiac Grand-Am. Serna is prohibited from having contact with the child
and her mother as a result of a Domestic Violence Protective Order
issued against him.

Catalina Isabela Serna is described as a Hispanic female with brown
hair and blue eyes. She weighs approximately 25 pounds and has light
colored skin. Fabian Ezekial Serna is described as a 21-year old Hispanic male, approximately 5-feet-7 and weighing 165 pounds with black
hair and brown eyes.
Current information suggest that Serna may be going to Buncombe County,
but also has the resources to travel to Texas or Florida.

Henderson County sheriff's deputies are seeking information on the
whereabouts of a young girl who is thought to have been abducted by her
father, according to Capt. Jerry Rice, spokesman for the Sheriff's office.
At 5:50 p.m. Saturday, the Henderson County Sheriff's Office received
a report of parental child abduction, Rice said.
"The report filed by the victim's mother, Amy Nicole Roberts, stated that her
daughter, Catalina Isabela Serna, had been abducted by her biological
father, Fabian Ezekiel Serna," Rice said. "Roberts stated the abduction
had taken place on Friday at 12:30 p.m. while the child was in the care
of Elisa Serna, Fabian Serna's stepmother."The physical abduction
was reported to have taken place at Elisa Serna's home, at 55 Old Dana
Road in Hendersonville, Rice said."Fabian Serna left with the
child in a white-colored passenger car that was described as a Pontiac
Grand-Am," he said.Catalina Isabela Serna is described as a
20-month-old Hispanic female with brown hair and brown eyes. She weighs
about 25 pounds.Fabian Ezekiel Serna is described as a
21-year-old Hispanic male who is about 5 foot 7 and weighs about 165
pounds, with black hair and brown eyes."Serna is prohibited from
contact with the child and her mother as a result of a domestic violence
protective order that was issued against him," Rice said. "Current
information suggests that Fabian Serna may be headed for Buncombe
County, but may have the resources to travel out of state to either
Texas or Florida. Warrants have been issued against Fabian Serna for
felony child abduction and a violation of a domestic violence protective
order."The Henderson County Sheriff's Office is working with the
National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which has issued a
bulletin in the case.If you have information on the missing

After being taken from her step grandmother’s home, one-year-old Catalina Serna
returned to her mother at about 5:30 p.m. Monday, Henderson County
Deputies said Monday evening.
Serna’s father, Fabian Ezekiel Serna, took the toddler, deputies said. He is not the child’s
custodial parent.
There is also an order of protection against him filed by the child’s mother, Amy Roberts.
Officials found the child in good condition and returned her to her mother.
Deputies with the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office and Asheville
Police Officers helped with the search for the child.
Fabian Serna is not charged or arrested as of about 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The matter is still under investigation.
