Unidentified Teen Girl - 15 yo - Yuma AZ

Authorities have located a 15-year-old girl who was missing for 68
days and have arrested a man and his grandmother on kidnapping charges,
according to Yuma Police.
Officers found the girl Wednesday inside a residence located at 3845 W. 3rd Pl. in Yuma.
Manuel Swayze, 18, was identified as allegedly
having kept the girl against her will at that location, according to a
news release from YPD. Swayze also allegedly had sexual contact with the
female during that time frame.
Officers arrested Swayze and booked him for kidnapping and sexual conduct with a minor.
Swayze’s grandmother, Mona Swayze, was also
arrested and booked for kidnapping and hindering prosecution. According
to the press release, Mona Swayze was allegedly aware of the female
being held and assisted in keeping the girl against her will.
YPD Spokeswoman Leanne Worthen said the parents of the girl, who was
14 at the time she disappeared, called YPD Wednesday with information
that their daughter was at the residence.
“That led to the fact that we got over there and got her back,” Worthen said.
Worthen said the parents were concerned the entire time she was
missing. She also said a police report was filed May 14 that the girl had run away.
Both Manuel and Mona Swayze will appear in Yuma Justice Court at 1 p.m. Thursday.
