VANEZZA DAMASO - 17 yo/Mentally challenged - East Naples FL

East Naples FL ---- An East Naples family is shock after a
17-year-old girl disappears. Vanezza Damaso was last seen on Mohawk
Place, just two block from her home.
"It's very difficult, I just want Vanezza to come home," her mother
Maria Damaso cries.
Maria says her daughter may be 17, but she has the mental capacity of
an 11-year-old.
"I'm very afraid for her safety. She's smart to an extent, but she's
very gullible and easily convinced," Maria explains of Vanezza's
disability.
Her mothers says the teen was last seen at a friend's house on Mohawk
Place around 7:30 Sunday night. Vanezza and a girlfriend, who's 18,
left and never returned.
Maria describes her daughter as five feet, six inches tall, 150
pounds, with brown eyes, and brown hair with golden highlights.
A family member received a call from the teen Tuesday saying she was
fine and then hung up; however, the family is concerned because the
Vanezza does have a mental disability and may not know she's in trouble.

Collier County Sheriff's deputies are
searching for an East Naples teen last seen by her family on Sunday.
Vanezza Damaso was reported missing on Monday
after she failed to return home from a friend's house Sunday night.
Deputies say Damaso was last seen at her
family's residence on Normandy Drive around 9 a.m., when she left to go visit a friend.
A family member went to the friend's house in
the 4000 block of Mohawk Place around 7:30 p.m. and was told the girl
was in the shower and would be home later.
Vanezza never made it home and the family
reported her missing, according to the sheriff's office.
The girl is described as white, 5 feet 6
inches and 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a
blue shirt and dark denim pants.
Vanezza functions at an 11-year-old level and her family is concerned about her well-being.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Collier County Sheriff's Office at (239) 252-9300.

First of all, I want to say that I live in Collier County and have not heard of this missing girl. I watch the news every morning. Secondly.....why would this girl be in the shower at another house when she's just there for the day visiting a friend. I find that odd. I will be doing some digging on this one for more information.
