PLEASE Add the Alert Button to your Browser/Mobile Device
You may have already signed up for a similar service through your local LE or TV News station. I respectfully compel you to add the "Orange" Alert button to both your desktop/laptop and any mobile web device you have. The instructions and installation are VERY easy and the explanation of how it works is on the following website along with everything else you need.
Basically, this anonymous service, will send a pop-up to your monitor/screen for any missing child alert within a 100 mile radius of the location of your computer. With handhelds, Blackberry, Androids and IPhones it travels with you. That way if you go on vacation you can still be helpful in the area you are staying in.
Many prominent officials and personalities are backing this no charge, non-profit service.
It is free for life.... and could wind up saving a life.
I have installed both and urge you to do the same.

Re: PLEASE Add the Alert Button to your Browser/Mobile Device
There's a new instant alert system to help locate missing children... and its creators need your help to make it work. Add The Alert, AddTheAlert.com , is completely free. There are no forms to fill out and no data collection involved. The
system is a one-way automated communication channel between law
enforcement and every computer and mobile device within 100 miles of a
missing child. All a person needs to do is add the button to a browser or mobile device. Simple as that. If
there is a missing child reported in the immediate area, a small alert
box makes information about the missing child... including multiple
images, video and a satellite map... available.

Re: PLEASE Add the Alert Button to your Browser/Mobile Device
Thank you for posting that vital information. It was so easy to install but I hope it will never need to be used. I find it upsetting when I read a news story about "Missing child found safely after 4 days" (or worse when it has been the child's body found) and have never seen a picture of the child on any news channel. Forget sports and politics when there is a missing person - just get the information out - immediately. This is a good idea.
