JENNIFER LYNN BLACKSTOCK - 17 yo - Edmonds (N of Seattle) WA
Police are looking for an Edmonds teen who hasn't been seen or heard from since Thursday night.
Jennifer Lynn Blackstock, 17, appears to have left home without permission.
There
was no sign of force or coercion, officials said. Police don't believe
she had money or personal belongings on her when she left.
Blackstock
is 5-foot-4 and 110 pounds. She has shoulder-length blond hair and blue
eyes. She was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and black jeans.
She does not appear to be using social media, which is unusual for her.
Anyone with information is asked to call Edmonds police at 425-771-0200 or, after hours, 911.

So she's missing still. Left willingly with older man. Found. Disappeared on her own.

Yes, I guess she's not exactly in danger, other than her and her 19 year old boyfriend being a bit green out there in the big wide world. Move it?TomTerrific0420 wrote:So she's missing still. Left willingly with older man. Found. Disappeared on her own.

---No. If you read between the lines, she's still on the run, albeit, on her own. She's still under the age of majority and her parents want her back. Let's leave her missing for awhile yet.kiwimom wrote:Yes, I guess she's not exactly in danger, other than her and her 19 year old boyfriend being a bit green out there in the big wide world. threatened or persuaded to go with him.
"She has developmental disabilities which specifically influence her ability to make logical choices," Squires said.

Jennifer is still missing!
By Pat Ratliff
for Edmonds Beacon
EDMONDS, Washington (STPNS) -- Jennifer Blackstock is still missing, and her family is desperately trying to find the 17-year-old girl, who disappeared Aug. 26.
Jennifer’s aunt and guardian, Laurie Squires, is asking for help from the public.
“I wanted to give my and my family's opinion on what we feel has happened to Jenny,” Squires said. “I hope with all of my heart that you will take this seriously.”
“We believe that Jennifer left the house to take a walk around Edmonds, as we have found out she has been doing this for the past couple of weeks,” Squires said.
“She left the house with no personal belongings, no cell phone, and with the door unlocked, which we believe means she was intending to come back.
“You need to understand that Jennifer Blackstock has developmental disabilities, which specifically influence her ability to make logical choices. These disabilities include executive function disorder, FASD, and ADHD.” The family feels extremely frightened and frustrated because, due to Jenny’s disabilities, she may not be capable of making decisions that are vital for her own personal safety.
There’s much more information to go with this story.
”Apparently, on this walk Jenny encountered a 19-year-old white male named Elliot who had just been released from jail that day,” Squires said.
“Jenny then disappeared, and we have not heard from her since. Please note that Jenny did not know this man nor would she have had any opportunity in the past to have any relationship with him because he was recently released from jail.”
Edmonds Police put out a press release about the missing teen and within a short time they had a lead, resulting in them going to a Mukilteo motel to try to find the missing 17 year old.
According to the police report: “From this tip police developed information that Jennifer was willingly in the company of a 19-year-old Edmonds man and that the two were temporarily residing at a Mukilteo motel.
“Edmonds officers responded to the motel where they contacted the 19-year-old man. Unfortunately, it appears that Jennifer Blackstock observed the officers’ approach and fled from them before she could be contacted.” the report said.
“However, police now believe that Jennifer is simply on the run from home, not the victim of foul play. Jennifer Lynn Blackstock remains the subject of an Edmonds Police investigation as a juvenile runaway.”
But Squires is not sure that Jennifer is simply “on the run from home.”
“Please, I am pleading for any help,” she said. “Jenny deserves to be found.
“She does not have the executive function needed to know how to find help or to realize that she may be in grave danger.
“No one seems to know how hard it is for parents with children with this kind of invisible disability.”
Officially, Jennifer is still listed as a runaway with Edmonds Police.
“Jennifer is listed on all the databases in the state as a runaway, but that’s not a crime,” Edmonds Police Sgt. Mike Blackburn said.
“We’re concerned about her age and being away from home and her family, and we want to help her get home.”
Blackburn said there have been sightings of Jennifer in the general area of Edmonds. He also said the Edmonds Police Department has taken steps to try to connect with Jennifer using various social media, but so far haven’t made that connection.
They are still encouraging anyone seeing Jennifer to phone them.
While there are no criminal charges pending against Jennifer, the same can’t be said about the man she was with in Mukilteo.
“There are charges of harboring a runaway pending against him,” Blackburn said. “He was very uncooperative when we went to that hotel room.
“He also took steps to hide the fact Jennifer had been in the room.”
Laurie Squires has this message for Jennifer:
“To my dear sweet Jenny, I miss you so much. A day, a second doesn’t go by that I don’t think of you and your beautiful smile and loving heart.
“Family and friends all love you. We are all out searching for you and won’t stop. You are in no trouble, please believe me, it’s true.
“Believe in yourself Jenn. You can find the strength to call or get yourself home. My heart is empty without you. I love you my dear sweet Jenny Boo. Love and Kisses, Auntie.”
Please Jennifer, come or call home. Your family needs you.

September 14, 2010 at 2:30 PM Police say missing Edmonds girl found safe
Posted by John de Leon -- From Times staff reporter Christine Clarridge: A 17-year-old Edmonds girl who disappeared from her family home on Aug. 26 has been located. According to Edmonds police, there was concern because the girl had left her home without enough money or clothes for an extended absence and she had not been heard from through her social media network. Police said they received a tip that led them to the girl over the weekend. She had been staying at a Mukilteo motel with a 19-year-old male. Police said the girl has been returned to her family and that criminal charges are pending against the male.
