"Baby John" DUHAIME - 9 Months - Spring Hill FL
A mother was charged with child abuse following accusations she threw down her 9-month-old son onto the front lawn during a fit of rage.Jessica Marie Duhaime, 18, of Spring Hill, also was charged with criminal mischief after she climbed into her mother's van and rammed into the back of another vehicle, deputies said.

Afterword, she punched her mother in the chest, which led to a domestic battery charge, according to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office.Deputies responded shortly after 10 a.m. Monday to a house off Clovis Lane.After they arrived, four witnesses came forward and described Duhaime's violent behavior, according to an arrest report.Duhaime had been staying at the house for eight months, but the homeowner, Mark Agostino, asked her to leave because she was arguing with him, his daughter and his girlfriend, the report showed.Agostino and his family were helping Duhaime, but had exhausted all their patience with her, deputies said.Duhaime's mother arrived at the house to take her daughter and grandson. At this time, an irate Duhaime stormed out of the house with her son in her arms, according to the sheriff's office.Agostino, along with three other witnesses, saw Duhaime throw her son onto the grass, where he landed on his back, deputies said.Everyone ran to the boy to check on him and then called 911, according to the report.Duhaime's rage continued and she started throwing containers of baby food onto the driveway, deputies said.She got into her mother's van through the passenger side door, climbed into the driver's seat and drove the vehicle into the back of Agostino's 2006 Nissan causing roughly $1,000 in damage, the report showed.Afterward, Duhaime got out of the van and punched her mother in the chest after the latter started yelling at her, deputies said.During her interview with deputies, a hysterical Duhaime said, "I don't want to go to jail. I did not mean to drop him. It was an accident," according to the report.All four witnesses told deputies the 9-month-old boy was thrown onto the lawn and not dropped, the report showed.Paramedics from Spring Hill Fire Rescue examined the boy, who appeared to be uninjured, deputies said.Duhaime was transported to the Hernando County Jail.
