The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office is asking for help to find a missing Houma woman and her 3-year-old child.Twenty-one-year-old Jordan Sloan and her son Cooper were last seen Monday morning leaving her husband's workplace.Sloan's husband said that a short time later, he received text messages from her indicating that she was severely depressed and wanted to harm herself.Investigators say Sloan was driving a 2001 blue Ford Focus with a "Who Dat" sticker and a "Body Elite" sticker on the rear windshield. The car also has a silver license plate with "LSU" in purple letters on the front bumper.Jordan Sloan is 5 feet 6 inches tall, 170 pounds with green eyes and brown hair. Cooper Sloan is 3 feet tall with brown hair and brown eyes.The public is asked to contact the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office at 504-876-2500 with information regarding their whereabouts.

A 21-year-old Houma woman and her three-year-old son vanished, and today authorities say they are doing everything they can to find them.

The husband of 21-year-old Jordan Sloan told the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office that his wife is severely depressed, and sent him a text message indicating she wanted to harm herself. Terrebonne Sheriff Vernon Bourgeois says they take this very seriously.

"We have a major concern to, of course, find that child and make sure that child is safe," said Bourgeois, "and to do everything we can for the mother, also."

The sheriff says they are also worried about the possibility Sloan could harm others. He says Jordan Sloan left Houma Monday in a 2001 blue Ford Taurus with a "Who Dat" sticker in the rear window and another one that reads "body elite."
