He is also on the Ward case {who as it turns out alledgedly wasnt read his rights} and the Casey Anthony case..where he alledgedly made mistakes regarding conversations with Caseys "roomate" in jail. Its all on the net. Obviously Cross is a busy guy. And its much easier for him to file Morgans death in the "accidental' category and move on. Feel free to ask him his opinion..Brian.Cross@ocfl.net

Have you contacted the PSS(Professional Standards Section?) to make a complaint? If the media aren't interested, although I would try local print media if the large TV peeps aren't interested, all you can do is try to raise money to hire a PI and a lawyer. It's sad that you haven't been able to get locals fired up about this. So much apathy today it's scary.

Man Accused Of Lewd Act With Teen Who OD'd

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A man was arrested on Monday and accused of lewd and lascivious conduct with a 14-year-old girl before she died of an overdose last year, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

In October of 2010, deputies said 48-year-old Richard Bailey dropped off Morgan Bell at Florida Hospital East. Bailey left the hospital and shortly after, Morgan was pronounced dead, deputies said. They said the cause of her death was determined to be an accidental overdose.

After a long investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Bailey on charges of lewd and lascivious behavior on a minor.

Bailey has not been charged with Bell's death.

The pressure needs to be put on Toni Breanna Estepp to come forward with the truth about who gave Morgan the drugs that killed her. She admitted Morgan was the youngest person she ever took to her "Uncle's" house. Yet out of either fear or dependency or just plain lack of a conscience she refuses to come forward. Scary to think this girl is the new mother of an infant boy. Who by the way was no where to be seen last week by the process server who delivered Toni's subpoena for trial. Toni's condition was described as "whacked out". No sign of an infant. There is a whole neighborhood of people in Mims Florida, who say they loved Morgan out of one side of their mouth and yet refuse to help investigators uncover the truth about her death. Number one Toni Estepp,perpetuating the lie that the girl she "loves" is the one who brought the pills! It is a disgrace to Morgan's memory! Its time to tell the truth Toni![img][/img]

Child molester gets 15 years for lewd battery of teen who fatally overdosed

Richard Bailey's Orange County mobile home was a haven for troubled teens.

Three women and one man — all of whom were teenagers when they met Bailey and lived in his home — pleaded with Circuit Court Judge Anthony Johnson to go easy on the child molester.

But Bailey, 50, on Thursday was sentenced to 15 years in prison, the maximum for his charges.

He was convicted in June of lewd and lascivious battery of a 14-year-old Brevard County girl, Morgan Bell, who later died of an accidental drug overdose in 2010.

A toxicology test found oxycodone and Xanax in the system of the Mims girl.

Financial troubles kept Morgan's family from attending Thursday's hearing.

But her mother, Lori Rudisaile, wrote a letter to the court calling Bailey "the best example of the worst human kind has to offer." She added that he was a man who had "no worth to society" and used young women as "objects for his demented form of pleasure."

Patricia Deen, a retired Brevard County Sheriff's Office investigator, spoke for the state. She told the judge that in her 12 years with BCSO, she crossed paths with Bailey several times in the late 1990s.

According to Deen, Bailey was known to prefer the company of teenagers. In the past he had been convicted of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, giving alcohol to a minor and drug possession.

"I don't know how I got caught up in this," Bailey told the judge Thursday. He denied responsibility for his previous convictions as well, saying it was a case of "wrong place, wrong time."

But the sex offender the state described is not the man 20-year-old Alicia Payette has known since she was 15. She said she was on the brink of dropping out of high school when Bailey took her in, helped her find a job and encouraged her to continue her education.

"He's definitely like a father to me," she told the judge. "He would have people come in and stay and basically change their lives."

It sure took them long enough to charge him for her rape.  Too bad they don't have the evidence for a murder trial.
