A teenager disappeared and has been missing now for days. Now his panicked family is begging for help because not only is he missing, but parents said the teen desperately needs his medication.Brian Kite is 18 years old and too old to be placed on Amber Alert. Still, his mother, Marjorie Griffin, said Kite is autistic, bipolar and has ADHD, and his mother said she fears that Kite won't last long without his medications."Not knowing whether my son is laying out in the cold, whether my son has eaten, if he's hurt, if he needs medical attention, I'm worried about all really bad things," said Griffin.Family members said a friend last heard from Kite via text message at about 6 p.m. Friday. He was on his way to a football game."He said, 'I got a ride in a silver car. They said they're your cousin.' And Andy is, like, 'Brian who is it? I don't know any cousin up that way,'" said Griffin.Deputies traced the message and said it was sent from within a mile of a Woodbury cell phone tower. Law enforcement, friends and family have been sending messages continuously since then, but they said they haven't received a response."He never runs away. He never leaves home without us knowing. He texts us a million times a day," said Alexis Crabtree, Kite's sister.To make matters worse, Griffin said, Kite is autistic and bipolar and needs his medication."He could be hurt and without his medication. He's like a loose cannon. He can just go off," said Griffin. "I just want anybody that sees him or knows anything to let us know so that we can bring him home where he's safe."They said they're just hoping it's not too late."I'm terrified that we're going to find him, but in any case, we have to find him. The search is on right now for a missing 18-year-old with autism.Brian Kite was last seen on the night of October 8th at his home in Cannon County. The body of an 18-year-old man who has been missing for 10 days was found Monday afternoon, according to family members. Brian Kite's body was found off of Highway 53 in Cannon County near the Stones River. Kite's girlfriend's father found the body at about 3 p.m. and called deputies. Police said they are investigating the death as a homicide, but there were no signs of aggression. An autopsy was planned.Kite's mother, Marjorie Griffin, said her son was autistic, bipolar and had ADHD. Family members said a friend last heard from Kite via text message on Oct. 8.

Kite Died From Accidental Drowning: Autopsy

The cause and manner of death of a young Cannon County man who died over a year ago has been determined by the Tennessee State Medical Examiner.

According to the autopsy report, the cause of death of Brian Mark Kite was “drowning” and the manner “accidental.”

Kite, who was 18 at the time of his death, was a former Cannon County High School student.

Kite's body was found in the Stones River just off Highway 53N (Gassaway Road) on October 18 of last year.

He had been reported as missing by his family 10 days earlier. He had left his home the night of Oct. 8, 2011 to attend the Homecoming game with his girlfriend.

According to reports at the time, Kite’s family last saw him getting into a silver car on Oct. 8, 2010. The owner of the silver car told authorities he dropped him off on Lester Street in Woodbury. He was reportedly last seen at McDonald’s.

Although the medical examiner determined the manner of death was accidental, the case remains open, according to law enforcement officials. The medical examiner only makes a determination on that evidence which he is able to observe and analyze.

Kite suffered from Asperger's Disorder, which is a form of autism, as well as ADHD and bipolar disorder, and was on medication.
