Killeen girl abducted, assaulted while walking to bus stop

KILLEEN - An 11-year-old girl was abducted and assaulted Monday morning in Killeen, and police need your help finding the suspect.
Killeen police say the child was walking to a bus stop in the 1100 block of Duncan Avenue around 6:30 a.m. when a 20-year-old man with a buzz haircut forced her into a small black two-door car. The suspect then released her near the area after he assaulted her.
The Killeen Independent School District says they are working closely with police regarding this incident. The district sent a letter home to all students and contacted all parents with an automated emergency call.
Detectives are asking anyone who may have seen a vehicle that resembles the suspect's in the areas of 18th Street, Duncan Avenue, Alexander Street or Stewart Street to contact the Killeen Police Department at 254-200-7904 or call Crime Stoppers at 526-TIPS (8477).
