Police are asking the public's help in finding a 17-year-old girl who ran away from home in September and has not been heard from in more than a month.

On Sept. 13, Carla Michelle Shull ran away from her foster home on North Morris Street in Gastonia and left a note saying she was going a couple of states away. Carla was last seen by a friend in Cherryville on Sept. 15, but no one has seen or heard from her since, police said Tuesday. Anyone who has had contact with Carla since Sept. 15 is asked to call Gastonia police at 704-866-6939 or 704-866-6702.

A teenage runaway has returned home from another state after seeing herself publicized through the media, according to Gastonia Police.Gastonia Police asked for the public's help on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, in finding 17-year-old Carla Michelle Shull.Shull had ran away from a foster home on North Morris Street on Sept. 13, leaving a note saying she was going a couple of states away. A friend saw Shull on Sept. 15 in Cherryville, but no one had seen or heard from her since.Shull provided little information, other than to say she was in another state and saw herself in the news media. Then she returned home, police said.
